The cruise port is looking empty.  The hands on the clock are moving much slower than normal.

Have made an appointment for our Lyft driver to pick us up tomorrow morning at 1000. It’s showing a 15-minute drive to the cruise port.  I hope that’s not too early.  I have a college football game that the wife and I want to watch tomorrow at noon.

The cruise port is empty — awaiting your arrival tomorrow morning.

Have to let us know if the YC tent was easy to find and how embarktion was.

You shouldn't be too early.....is there such a thing? 😆

When we sailed on Divina in February, the Yacht Club tent was the first thing we saw when we turned the corner to head toward the ship.  We had our Lyft driver stop as soon as he could, unloaded our bags and walked the 50 - 75 feet to the YC tent.  We found it very easy.

Sports Bar might be your best bet. Or maybe the TV in your room. If we were at sea already, I'd say Casino Bar since they have multiple screens tuned to different games. I'm sure you could get them to find your game if it wasn't already on.

YC tent is best accessed by the far right lanes and a wide left turn to the inner curb, as I detailed when @morpheusoftheseaand we boarded. They were white tents and quite easy to spot.

Make sure to await a butler escort inside, even if you're tempted to go inside yourself. The butler will eacort you to the front of the security screening, bypassing at least a hundred non-YC guests.

You and I will have have the same challenge this week as Morph and I did last week -- I envision our threads shall cross quite often.

[Someone should insert another Ghostbusters meme, this one about crossing streams, here!]

He plays for a small private college in PA.  Game is only on the internet, not live TV.

Room will be our only option.  I am sure we’ll figure it out.

I feat that has already happened a couple of times and I’m not even onboard yet.  I’ll be more cautious going forward.   I almost did not even do a blog this week but decided that there are sure to be things we do and see while you are doing and seeing something else.

BCD and I are joking that you'll quickly pass me on posting. I'll still be on week 1 and you'll be on your week 2. 😃

On line I am very chatty, in person quiet and reserved.

we have checked our bags and are with another 20-30 folks waiting for security to open and the magical butlers to appear in the terminal.

Day 4 - San Juan, Puerto Rico

We started our day with coffee and Baileys in our room during sail in. This time we remembered to snap a picture of it:

In the background are the treats from last night. Here is a close up:

The treats overall are very similar to what we've had on past cruises. They are just a few small bites and usually BCD enjoys them with his morning coffee.

We had our usual breakfasts and made our way to TSL for some adult beverages and car building. We have been to San Juan a few times and had no excursions planned today.

Before we knew it, lunch time was upon us. We dropped our gadgets and supplies in the cabin and went to the TS restaurant.

Champagne flowed and menus were perused:

BCD started with the salmon:

I started with pea soup:

We switched to a chianti wine for our entrées. I ordered the pork and Chef Lisa made a GF hoisin sauce to accompany it:

I've not ever been able to try this pork dish on other cruises because the sauce was not GF. Chef Lisa has been excellent at creating dishes with a GF sauce that I can try now but never could before. She will be a huge asset to the upcoming launching of World America for MSC!

BCD opted for a chicken Caesar salad:

We both ordered desserts today at lunch, out of our usual habits. BCD had the Dame Blanche sundae:

I tried the floating island:

We spent the afternoon in TSL and time flew. It was soon time for dinner so we changed and made our way to the host station for another wonderful dinner.

Menus circulated along with champagne:

We both had the beef tartare as starters -- one of our favorites -- with the Gamay that we'd had the night before with some extra of those oh-so-delicious quail eggs:

For our mains, we both selected the short ribs though mine was without the traditional sauce. Chef Lisa again made me a GF sauce as an alternative. Here is 'regular' one:

And here is my GF version:

We switched to an excellent Bordeaux to accompany our short ribs:

We did attend the White Party after dinner, which @morpheusoftheseacovered very well. We arrived just as the party was winding down since we prefer to eat later, which we learned to enjoy during our many land-based holidays in Italy.

We recorded a video of the staff dancing to YMCA, but it was nearly 400MB so it's a bit too big for here. A few images from our time there:

Day 5, our second sea day, is next…
