Does Icon have a higher food budget and thus better food in the Windjammer?

I'm in an Icon group on FB and lately people have been posting pics of "unlimited lobster" in the buffet.  I took a cruise on the Anthem this summer and never saw any lobster in the WJ.  It was the usual stuff you always see a which is a fish, chicken, a beef item and maybe a dish with some shrimp if you are lucky.  Plus the ever expanding Indian food section (curry and sauces are cheap).

I thought all the ships basically had the same food/menus.  I know they charge a lot more for the Icon, but I figured she would have the same gruel in the WJ as the rest of the ships.  Or is this just BS people are posting on FB?

Yes, they are getting a higher food budget as their average pp cruise fare is a lot higher than the rest of the fleet

On Icon last month they did have lobster, shrimp, and really good food for lunch in the WJ on embarkation. One evening we went into WJ just to look and they had lobster for dinner too!  On Symphony last week they also had lobster in the WJ for lunch on embarkation. I also saw a new WJ item on Symphony - shrimp and waffles and it was yummy.

Icon has an open budget for food and beverages since sailing, at least thru July when my favorite crew member was onboard.  They really wanted her to be the showpiece for the company, sparing no expense.  Even in crew mess they're getting better meals than usual.

We just disembarked Icon yesterday. The breakfast in windjammer was very good. The lunch was ok in my opinion. We never ate dinner in there.

Sorry you missed having dinner in the WJ on Icon because it was always great.

Outside of the embarkation lunch, there was two nights for lobster back in May, which could be reduced going forward.  However, there is a lot more free food and variety throughout the ship versus any other ship. Also thought the service was top notch and did a fantastic job of keeping all public areas clean, which I assume they pull in the top rated staff at least for the first contract.
