we've been offered this, told no non-aft available; we're holding out for non-aft balcony accessible;

we've had similar position Escape aft balcony accessible Mediterranean 6/2024
& didn't like sometimes nauseating fuel-smoke smell & nightly band bass reverberation...

what we don't know: is Breakaway different to extent that these are NOT issues for #12910 ?
other issues?  thanks in advance.  any advice on nabbing non-aft balcony accessible?
our "counselor" is on it, too, keeps refreshing stateroom statuses, but no luck yet...

You would have cabins for at least two decks above and below you so I wouldn’t think noise would be an issue. I won’t venture to speculate about fuel smells.

Whether you will experience  the nauseating fuel-smoke smell is unpredictable.  It will depend upon the direction and speed of the ship and the direction and speed of the wind.  We were in an aft on breakaway and didn't notice a smoke smell.  BTW, we strongly prefer aft cabins because of the beautiful views.

some don't think never-ending view of cruise ship trail
to be a thing of beauty,,,

when or how often is unpredictable,
but fuel-smoke stench is guaranteed during aft balcony cruise...

Have stayed in the Aft Haven suites on the Breakaway and can say have not had any issues with fuel smells. Now, if you are in your cabin at night during one of the parties at SpiceH2O you will here the music, but the music is usually wrapped up around midnight.

Thanks for response.
If willing, what level is that & you spent time on balcony multiple days...?
Did you see smoke passing overhead but not smell it...?

We had deck 12 aft on Encore in July. We had no soot, no noise and zero fuel smell or smoke.
