bobbiz Posted Thursday at 06:51 PM #1 Share Posted Thursday at 06:51 PM Good Afternoon, Please share advice for where to stay in Miami? Our flight gets in at 10pm the night before the cruise. Thanks, Bobbi
fozzy Posted Thursday at 06:58 PM #2 Share Posted Thursday at 06:58 PM Make sure you alert the hotel you'll be arriving later at night. Sometimes they give your room away if you arrive after a certain time.
teknoge3k Posted Thursday at 07:01 PM #3 Share Posted Thursday at 07:01 PM Many cruisers stay in the Bayside area downtown. That seems to be the most popular for people who just want somewhere to sleep. There's plenty of hotels downtown Miami such a the Miami Hilton, Marriott, there's a Hampton Inn down there, The Gabriel, and many more. I personally prefer to stay in Miami Beach, as we like to enjoy the beach. However you're just there to sleep one night and not really enjoy anything. As far as transportation, I'd just grab an Uber or Lyft from the airport to your hotel, then from your hotel to the cruise port.
WendyVF Posted Thursday at 07:19 PM #4 Share Posted Thursday at 07:19 PM If you get in that late, I'd suggest staying near the airport where it will be cheaper than downtown or Brickell village.
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted Thursday at 07:39 PM #5 Share Posted Thursday at 07:39 PM The airport is pretty close to the port. I would stay at an airport hotel that has a free airport shuttle. Just make sure it runs that late at night. Many of the hotels also have paid shuttles to the port. Or you can take uber/lyft. Or, you can book your own shuttle/limo service - lots of options for this.
Rare ledges1 Posted Thursday at 08:19 PM #6 Share Posted Thursday at 08:19 PM Last time I was in Miami, I flew in after dark. Airport is busy. Caught a complimentary shuttle to the airport Fairfield Inn.

N7786W Flyer Posted Thursday at 09:44 PM #8 Share Posted Thursday at 09:44 PM We always stay at Comfort Suites Miami Airport North (305) 888-8404. They will pick you up at the airport and transport you to the hotel for the night...and they transport you (via bus) to the cruise port in the morning. However, the bus to the cruise port is first come, first serve...and with you arriving you so late, you'll be low man on the totem pole. They WILL get you to the port, but it may be much later than you want. Alternatively, you can take an Uber to the cruise port if you want an early cruise port arrival time. Ashland Posted Thursday at 10:30 PM #9 Share Posted Thursday at 10:30 PM Hampton Inn & Suites Blue Lagoon...their comp shuttle runs until 11:00pm. They have for fee shuttle to the POM. This is our go to hotel when cruising out of Miami for just an overnight stay.
Flymia Posted Thursday at 11:02 PM #10 Share Posted Thursday at 11:02 PM 10pm and you are leaving the next morning I would just do an airport hotel. The airport is not far from the port. Miami Airport is very close to city center.
9tee2Sea Posted Saturday at 02:58 PM #11 Share Posted Saturday at 02:58 PM I stayed at Pullman Blue Lagoon. They have a shuttle to hotel. Easy to get an Uber to Port. Like many have mentioned, call whichever hotel you are staying at and make sure they note on your reservation that you will be a late arrival. Ask them ALL your transportation questions over the phone. Book online, but call and ask questions.
