lambs2 Posted October 6 #82 Share Posted October 6 (edited) Have no idea if anyone scheduled to go on this sailing was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene and if they are reading these posts. If so, our thoughts and prayers are with you, as they are with all the victims of the devastating flooding and destruction. In addition, there is the threat of Hurricane Milton forecast to strike the west coast of Florida this coming Wednesday and possible effects of flooding, etc. all the way across to the east coast, where we live. As a reminder, every Sea Day morning there will be a Bible Study/Prayer group meeting in the Wedding Chapel 8:45-9:45, deck 7 port side forward. Hope to see you there! 🙏 Marguerite & Larry Edited October 6 by lambs2

You will be leaving two days before Mrs. Mtnesterz who will be visiting family in S'pore. Also SIA and Business Class, so don't mess up the plane's cabin, OK? 😄 I cannot take 17 hours on a plane, even Business Class. Before you go, nice idea to take a couple Covid test kits. If you don't have them, I was at Platt Library a week or so back and they had them for the asking. You probably know, but be sure to do your Singapore Arrival Card three days before arrival. Here is the link: https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ We all have different tastes, but if I could suggest something to do there that you can't do here, consider the Night Safari. Looking at the Singapore Arrival Card it asks for a cell phone number. We can list the number but the phone will be turned off. How much of a problem will that be. And no app. LOL

Nobody sent her any messages anyway. Sorry, I don't know what to tell you. I would ask in the Ports of Call Asia board. We had a problem with immigration documents for Japan and some kind person answered us within minutes. Edited October 7 by mtnesterz 1

But it's the same cabin size just with a stretched length of the plane. Anyway, SQ doesn't have business seats with sliding doors. ANA also has them. oleanmike Posted October 10 #98 Share Posted October 10 We arrived in Singapore this morning, 27 hours Houston to Manchester, UK to Singapore on Singapore Air. Arrival was at 11 am Singapore time. The customs entry was a breeze as there were more lanes open than people using them. You do need to have completed your entry card prior to going through the lane. There were also no other people in the taxi line. The taxi to the Voco Orchard hotel took 30 minutes and cost $24 US. Lunch at Muddy Murphy's (Orchard Road area). The weather is hot and humid, a couple of rain drops but nothing bothering. Our time prior to boarding will probably be just the same. Safe travels to all! Let me know any questions, we have been to Singapore many times.
Rare LACruiser88 Posted October 10 Author #99 Share Posted October 10 We are 10 hrs into our flight and we actually slept for 7 of those hours! The seats convert into a bed, amazingly comfortable for my 6'1 frame! The food has also been fantastic! As well as the wine selections.
