For hotels near Miami cruise port. Free Shuttle service from airport would be nice.

Try Hampton Inn & Suites Blue Lagoon. Their comp shuttle from MIA to their hotel runs up until 11:00pm. We've used this hotel a few times this year. They also have a shuttle to POM for a fee pp. reserve this as you check into the hotel.

Near POM is downtown Miami and NONE of the hotels there offers an airport shuttle - taxi, Uber or public transport are your options.  But, there is great dining, shopping and nightlife nearby.  Hotels in the Mary Brickell area are popular; we like the Doubletree on Biscayne (with some rooms offering a view of the port).

Free airport shuttles are offered by many airport area hotels - good if you are flying in late and just want a bed.  You will see nothing of Miami.  Blue Lagoon area hotels are likely your best bet as there is a local strip mall nearby (across the street from the Hampton Inn) with dining & fast food options, plus a grocery store, drug store and liquor store.  Paid shuttles to the port can be arranged by most of the hotels, or just grab an Uber.
