Fll Pre Cruise Shopping - 17th St.

For those who have travelled this area before - I am staying at the Embassy Suites pre-cruise 1 night - I understand there is a Publix across the street and a couple of liquor/wine stores as well.

 

Looking to stock up prior to cruising but since dh and I like to sample different types of wines and are very cheap drunks :p we generally try and purchase half bottles....does anyone know if these are easily/readily available? Or only full bottles for sale?

 

If anyone is going via FLL in the near future and can have a peek for me while making their wine purchases I would really appreciate it! (we are not cruising til mid-august).

Hi:) I have been down there a few times......you are looking for a 5th rather than a quart? Not sure about Publix but I think the liquor stores may carry it.

The Publix carries wine and champagne.

 

Both liquor stores carry everything.

I hope that by "everything" you mean all types and sizes (even half bottles!)

The liquor stores have a decent selection of wines and I believe they come in all sizes. The store we used even had some sampling at that time, but I don't remember the name of the store.

The wines at Publix are very reasonably priced. We were able to get a bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz Cab for $5.99/bottle.
