angel dog Posted June 26, 2004 #26 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Hi All!!! Another Hound checking in...I didn't even know we had a roll call going. It is a beautiful day here in the Chicagoland area. Have a good one! Jan
TBRay Posted June 26, 2004 #27 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Or as we fondly call it at my house: A-Hole. How they stay in business is beyond me (without my DW and her IM chat folks I would probably bolt in a minute). Yes, this will be an interesting trip. Hope to see many of you aboard Mariner this September for my son's cruise, and the rest (almost) exactly a year later when we (DW and myself) get to try out this great ship. I can already picture myself at the "Movies Under the Stars". As much as we enjoy the sun and pool time, a night cruising in the Caribbean with the breeze blowing in the air is just the ticket. Some of my fondest memories as a kid (dating myself now) were those drive-in movies with blankets, sleeping bags and picnic lunches. A dusk to dawn with the classic "King Kong Vs. Robot King Kong" playing at 4 AM. Nothing like it...
Minnie42 Posted June 26, 2004 #28 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Good afternoon Hounds from Sunny South Texas - I love weekends! I'm looking forward to the movies under the stars too! It seems to be very popular from reading the boards. We will be on the Grand 11/8 and have heard they might install the movie screen while it is in drydock the week before. That would be so cool! Little Red Posted June 26, 2004 #29 Share Posted June 26, 2004 There are only two kinds of people: Those who ARE Hounds and those who WANT TO BE Hounds! I love that quote - right on the button. :D Hey Hounds, hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. It's beautiful here in Detroit, low 70s and lots of sun. LadySpoilt Posted June 27, 2004 #35 Share Posted June 27, 2004 I can finally be added to the list!!!! This will be my first time on Princess, after sailing almost exclusively on Carnival for the past 10 years (one jump over to RCL during that time). I'll also be on the Mariner with many of you all this September (which right now CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH. An then again with several of you in February on the Miracle. But I guess I'd best concentrate on one at a time....so "see you in September"! Sandra

I don't have a job anymore so I don't have to go into work but we are leaving Sat afternoon to spend a week on the beach (with no computer:eek: ) and I have alot of stuff to do for that. When I get back I guess I'll start thinking about a job. Maybe. Have a cruising day Lisa
Mamatoots Posted June 28, 2004 #40 Share Posted June 28, 2004 Happy Monday everyone. It's a nice day today here in southern NJ, perfect cruising weather. Gosh, I can't seem to think about anything but cruising. No matter what subject I'm discussing, the bottom line always comes down to cruising. Oh, well! I guess I'm addicted. :D :D :D HOWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Sheila
PammyHound Posted June 28, 2004 Author #41 Share Posted June 28, 2004 I'm back!! Did you guys miss me?? hee hee! Just in case you hadn't noticed that I was even gone, I went to Vegas for the weekend. I am thrilled to announce that Sunday morning, only hours away from going to the airport and ending the trip, I won a $1,175 jackpot on a quarter video keno machine!! Man, you should have heard me HOWL!!!! :D :D :D What a thrill!! That's 8 of 9 for anybody that knows keno, one ONE quarter in! :) I had about 70 invested in the machine and when I hit the big one, I still had 300 credits ($75) on the machine so I got my original money back too! I was feeling so "rich" I decided to upgrade to first class coming home! Man, was that N-I-C-E!!! Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend as well. Welcome to the new and returning Hounds! Sandra, I didn't realize you had decided to book this one too! That's soooo cool!!! Can't wait to meet you this Fall!!!
TBRay Posted June 28, 2004 #42 Share Posted June 28, 2004 PAMMY: What a great present. My only decent hit was getting $80 at one of the (LV) airport bandit machines while waiting for my flight home. It actually paid for my airport parking fee and got us a nice lunch. Who knows. It might fund your next cruise "slush fund". Welcome back.

PammyHound Posted June 28, 2004 Author #46 Share Posted June 28, 2004 Well at the rate this groups is going it will probably work out to about $2 bucks a person by cruise time! :p So.... I better just keep it all to myself ;)

PammyHound Posted June 29, 2004 Author #50 Share Posted June 29, 2004 I hit my big jackpot at Fitzgeralds (downtown). It's funny too because I never play there! Ya know how your get your favorite spots and thats pretty much where you go? Well Fitzgeralds isn't one of them and I havent' played there in forever but that's where Terri's daughter wanted to go Friday night when we got there. I played Friday for a bit and did fairly well so was eager to go back. I went to bed early on Saturday night and was up by 5:30 Sunday morning. I just love that time of day. I hate the busy evenings and would just assune hang out in my room then fight the crowds in the casino. Nothing better than Vegas at 5:30am! It's cool out, hardly any people around. And the cocktail waitresses only have you to wait on! LOL Marilyns right, I let out a pretty big "I GOT IT" when I won!:D Several! :)
