Just Back from another Solo Cruise

Hi ya'll:) and now I know why I just love, love, love having my

own space...why?

Because I just love having my own space:D ;)

Sailed on Mercury to Alaska and got home yesterday. It was

FANTASTIC...but then again, I love cruising!

The weather, crew, staff, my tablemates, food, everything was

awesome!

Yes, I might have paid more than those who share or those

who prefer other lines at a less single's supplement. But my

experience was absoluletly worth every penney.

Lois what do you know you couldn't possibly have had a good time on this ship. Don't you know Brian was on your ship for 2 days and he hated everything about it. He is spreading the word all over the place so it must be true...right Lois, LOL!

Welcome back, Lois. Was this your first cruise to Alaska?

My sister, who I introduced to cruising, just got back today from her first solo cruise. Can't wait until she's home and I can talk to her in detail. She left me a brief message the other day and said she thinks she prefers cruising with others. She's on Norwegian, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend them to a solo cruiser as a first choice.

After I unpacked in my cabin on my first 10-day cruise last year, I wondered where the other person would put their stuff if I had a roommate. :D

Where are you sailing on your next cruise? Have you ever booked a balcony as a solo?

Hi Jean:) I read Brian's review. I try not to be judgemental of others

and I felt bad he had such a horrible time. But for me to leave a FREE

cruise after 2 days it would have had to be something catastrophic....

an attack, or horrible illness, or something of that nature.

I tried not to bash him after reading it...enough other people did that....

Many of the things he did not like I never give a 2nd thought about.

I am sure he will just go back to HAL and be happy over there.

Anyway, I had an absolultely wonderful time.

Roz, yes, this was my first trip to Alaska. As for balconies, I have

had 2. One on a Happy Hour price back in Dec 2004 on Celebrity's

Constellation (solo) and the other was on Summit back in Oct

(shared a cabin for the 1st time).

I have the Millennium booked for Dec of this year out of FLL.

It would have to be something really out of the ordinary for me

to share again.

Hi Lois , My thoughts exactly !!!!!!! As long as a person enjoys what they do, the amount paid for that is not important. Happy to hear that you enjoyed Alaska which is hopefully coming up in 2008 since 2007 is already booked up for me. I did forget that I was on the Mercury my only Celebrity cruise, I think it was 1998. The ship is very nice, enjoyed my cruise as I do all my cruises.

HI LOIS: Remember me from Fort Lauderdale -- Pier 66 & Bravos??? It's been a long time !!!

I am happy that you had a wonderful time on your Alaska cruise. My very first solo cruise several years ago was on the Mercury -- Alaska cruise. Alaska was soo awesome and I had a fabulous time! I am anxious to read your review. Do you have it posted on the Celebrity site??

Hi Jay:) well, I wouldn't go so far as to say the amount paid is not

important;). There are quite a few itineraries I would love to do...but

they are totally out of my budget. (No matter what line offers them).

But I try to stick with Celebrity because they are my cruiseline

of choice.

Hi Nancy, yes I remember you. I hope you are doing well. I am

in the middle of posting of full review over on the X bb.
