Backstage tours?

Is there any type of backstage tour available for the main theatre on the Mariner?

A backstage tour has been one of the activities on my cruises recently on Navigator, Jewel and Radiance, so I'm sure it will also be offered on Mariner.

A backstage tour was offered to Diamond members on Brilliance. I don't know if others were offered the tour or not.

Last February, there was a backstage tour open to anyone on the Explorer. It was very interesting. There were only about 15-20 people who participated.

Were these tours publicized or listed in the daily compass or do we have to inquire about them separately? Thanks for any and all info!

It was offered to all last month on the Explorer..........it was advertised in the Compass..............

Yep, I remember that it was listed in the Compass as well. All you need to do is show up at the start time.:) I believe it was only offered one time during the week, and lasted about an hour.

On our 6/2 Explorer cruise the tour was not offered as a general activity for all passengers. Although I agree with other posters that in our 2 cruises previous - Radiance (Nov '05) and Explorer (May '05) - it was listed on the Compass. Usually on the last sea day I think.

 

On our 6/2 cruise a backstage tour *was* listed on the activity itinerary for the 6-8 year old Adventure Ocean group...but my son said that when they got there a rehearsal was in process and they didn't get to do their tour.

Our tour was by invitation that we received in our cabin.
