Drink tickets?

That's a new one. I don't recall seeing anything in HAL info that I have read about drink tickets. I don't recall seeing this on Carnival but no matter. We just plan on covering that in the funds we provide on our shipboard account.

Take a look at this thread. You can 'pre' pay for things like wine packages, or ship board credit, casino, etc. If you cruise is close to a holiday print the form out, and when asked what you would like for the holiday, hand them the form...lol. Heck it works for me. Sassy

Haven't had the drink tickets in many a year, but they did have it for glasses of wine as recently as last summer.

Don't know if that's still available, but it's worth asking about when aboard.

Carnival had "drink tickets" as recently as last year as I bought 2 for my secretary for her first cruise. They were ordered over the Internet and delivered to her the first night at dinner. I had expected they'd simply been left in her cabin like a gift from a TA but she was surprised and that's what I wanted. I don't recall ever seeing such a thing on HAL, certainly not in the last couple of years.

Thank you, Sassy...I will download the forms. The cruise will be for our 30th wedding anniversary...when people ask what we want - skip the cheesy anniversary frame and GIVE US THE SHIPBOARD credit! Hee hee - we will work on the delivery!

Here's thanking you for thanking me. :) Having Raye Anne as a secretary makes life, at least the work part, so much easier. She's not only a great worker with a wonderful mind but also has become a good and trusted friend. By the way, as I recall the tickets were good for 5-6 drinks each though I think it was strictly well liquor not calls.

Have never seen any drink (alcohol) cards or wine cards on HAL. Just the soda cards.

As for left over shipboard credit - I remember once sail7seas said that at the end of one of their cruises, they had a little bit of credit left. They were called to the front desk and given it in cash.

I also remember wine by the glass specials on some cruises. It was never highly advertised and I found out about it on this CC board and started watching for it onboard. There really weren't alot of wines to choose from.

I just found out thet the Riesling sold by the glass (Piesporter) isn't the only Riesling. They now have a Jo-Riesling in the Ambassador package that I've never seen before. They also have a marvelous Vouvrez by the bottle.
