FSUSammy Posted July 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2006 Hey everyone. We are leaving on Sunday for our cruise on the FOS. Just wondering if we need our C&A card for anything or if I should just leave it at home. Thanks! Sam
kbt2 Posted July 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2006 I am Platinum and have never had one, so I am not sure what the "benefit" would be to bring onboard...anyone??
cruisePRN Posted July 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2006 you will have your C and A status placed on your sea pass so if you're platinum it will say so.
la_croisiere_s'amuse Posted July 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2006 you will have your C and A status placed on your sea pass so if you're platinum it will say so. This is true, however I have had mistakes made on my sea pass, both on RCI and Celebrity. If it were me, I'd throw it in my wallet just in case. I always carry mine when I cruise, along with my marriage license (to account for different names on my documents). Best case scenario, you won't need it. But I like having the peace of mind factor. :)
banderboo Posted July 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2006 I always make sure I have my number written on something (usually on the confirmation and cruise docs) so if I needed it for anything I'd have it. I've never brought the actual card with me.
lv2bcruzin Posted July 6, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2006 I have never taken my card. I always bring my docs with me that have that information on it. I also have never needed my number for anything while onboard.
Dawniepoo Posted July 6, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2006 I am such a geek, that I keep it in my wallet at all times, even when I'm not cruising :o .
cb at sea Posted July 6, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2006 I don't even have my card! RCI has my info, so I really never saw a need! I'm sure I have the # somewhere, but to carry another card around with me?--Never!
Merion_Mom Posted July 6, 2006 #9 Share Posted July 6, 2006 Absolutely no way do I or would I carry the card with me. You will NEVER need it on the ship. If you actually needed your number or needed to prove your status, just make the disbelieving staff on the ship log into RC's website, log yourself in, and your C & A status will be displayed for all to see. Welcome to the Age of Technology! ;)
mcarnett Posted July 6, 2006 #10 Share Posted July 6, 2006 We are Diamond, but our membership cards do not have any status written on them, just our number. You number should be on your docs, if it is not, then call Crown and Anchor. The number is all you will evey need. I think once you get to Diamond Plus (2 cruises away for us) you will get a card with your status on it. Still you will probably never need it for anything. The number is all you will evey need.
