Will this truly be your first cruise, or do you just use this as a logo?

Which ship are you going on, and for how long??

for those headed to seattle for an Alaskan cruise..

after reading thru these post..Priceline is the best

way to save money..though you don t know the exact

hotel your going to get when you bid your going to be

atleast in the local..

OK..we ve been looking for the best pricing for a hotel

close to Pier 66..but, as many of you know..the pricing is

way to high for many of us to even consider..they are both

the closest to the pier..and high for their star rating..

then tonite..well, you check it out yourselves..Easy-Click,

Edgewater Hotel..you ll be surprised at the pricing..

Bid placed for 4* hotel in Pikes Market area of Seattle at $140 per night was accepted by The Westin Hotel for a two night stay from June 4th through 6th, 2009. Seems like a pretty good deal to me, cheapest I'd seen The Westin at any other site was in the neighborhood of $230 per night. First time I've used Priceline, but so far I'm liking it. Probably could have done better, but I can live with 40% savings.

just got residence inn vancouver (downtown, near Burrard, about 1 mile from pier) for $70, plus about $14 tax/fees. For 6/19/09, one night pre-cruise. Posted on marriott site at $194CAD, plus tax, about $160 US.

woo hooo! also get a free hot breakfast.

Staret at $60 2 days ago, then skipped $65, went to $70. Bid once for downtown 3.5 start, rejected, free re-bid added city hall district, 3 star.

now if we can just find a decent airfare. saw it fro $400 before xmas, now up to $600. hope it goes down again.

happy New year to all

Just won Doubletree San Pedro on Priceline for a bid of 72.00 - and I purchased the insurance of 5.00 for a total 94.79. The hotel website says a grand total 162.00 with taxes if i booked directly with them! I am happy. Now I just have to worry about being able to go to the store in the am to get soda and water before we go to the ship!

Date: February 27, 2009

Number of nights: 1 (Pre-cruise)

Hotel: Hyatt Regency

Rating: 4 star

Area: La Jolla, CA

Site: Priceline

Winning Bid: $125.00

The regular price on Hyatt's website is $174.00.

My DH decided to treat us to a massage when we get there so we will be very relaxed when we get on the ship. Oh....how I want to pack right now!

The Doubletree Shuttle will take you to Von's for groceries - we had them drop us at the egg and waffle for b'fast, walked down the block to Von's, bought sodas, tonic and limes (don't ask how we got the gin onboard<G>) and then called the shuttle and had them pick us up. Very easy and friendly, just cost us a tip.

FYI, be sure and sign up for the cruise shuttle as soon as you check in, it was filling up fast when arrived and we got the last one before 1pm when we got there.

Have a great cruise....if you want more info check out my review.
