River cruising on the M/s Repin

Recommended Posts

:) Hi, we are new to this game and are looking forward to doing a river cruise between Moscow and St. Petersburg in early July 2007. This is to be on the M/S Repin and I am interested to hear any comments from people who have sailed on this cruise ship and whether the purchase of a suite would be recommended.

Thanks Kiwisue

Welcome to Cruise Critic and the Need Help Using The Boards? Ask Here! Forum! 04.gif

Thank you for your post regarding your river cruise. However, you have posted on the forum where members find the "How to ..." type of information for using Cruise Critic's software such as avatars, signatures, countdown clocks or tickers, attaching pictures, etc. It is not the place for your type of post and the information you seek is off topic here. 05.gif

Per our Guidelines and to help you out, I am moving your thread from the Need Help Using The Boards? Ask Here! Forum to the River Cruises Forum where it will be on topic.

I hope you don't mind a friendly suggestion, but you might want to read FAQ and Guidelines on the blue bar above. Especially the "Getting Started" section in FAQ. That's where you will see how a new topic should be consistent with the specific forum you choose. It also gives a brief summary of the topics covered in the different forum sections. Click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php for the list of all the Cruise Critic forums and be sure to read all Announcement and Sticky threads at the top of the various forums for additional information too.

I sincerely hope this will be satisfactory. Glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic!

Kiwisue -

Out of curiosity - are you going on this as part of a college alumni trip?

The school I work at has a trip planned on this same ship in May of 2007 as an alumni trip. I tried to find out about the ship (on the internet) and the best I could figure out is that the ship is chartered all summer for groups - and from what I could tell, they were all alumni groups booked through a specific alumni travel agency.. I couldn't figure out who owns the ship or much about the ship.

I looked at going on the trip and decided against it because our group's sailing did not go to St. Petersburg. I booked with Amadeus instead. I later found out that the alumni agency would provide an optional trip to St. Petersburg. Our school used the same alumni travel agency last year to Italy and thought the trip was first class.
