Bradtez Posted January 23, 2007 #51 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Just off the conquest a week ago ( wishing we were back most definately). They still have the hamburgers, yummy fries, pizza and non stop ice cream by the pool. Bloodpower play everything from queen to bryan adams and damn they are GREAT! We had cabin 7230 (port side suite) and it was awesome , a great view of all the ports. Jamacia, we did sunset beach, highly recommend this, nice beach good food and i drunk every cocktail on the list at least once! Cayman Islands, we just wandered around and did some shopping Cozumel, we did the cooking school, what a hoot, great fun. Then went into town and shopped, did not get hassled once about buying pot. CruisinMama7 Posted January 23, 2007 #52 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Does the Conquest hold a passenger talent show? DH plays the guitar and writes his own music. He has entered the talent show on our last two cruises. Absolutely loves getting up in front of a bunch of people. Personally, it would be sheer agony for me, especially while on vacation! But he likes all of the compliments that he receives afterwards - good for his ego, I guess. Also, did anybody find out when Blood Power plays their last gig on the Conquest? I checked out their website, but found nothing that alluded to this fact. Somebody stated on an earlier post they thought maybe March or April. We set sail on March 25 and would love to check them out.

Bradtez Posted January 24, 2007 #56 Share Posted January 24, 2007 The excursion was booked thru Carnival, they take you down to playa del mia beach (?) it was around $79 per person and included is the beach, all you can drink alcoholic and non, plus food. For the cooking class, you pair up with your better half, and drink lots while preparing a 3 course lunch and having plaenty of laughs. After you have cooked they serve you the food you cooked with a few glasses of wine. we cooked mexican sooes, fish fillet with mango sauce and rice pudding towers. I would recommend this tour. If the modify option doesn't work, here is another method. (It's a bit detailed, but it will work) 1. On the Carnival homepage click 'My Reservation' located on the top of the page. 2. Use the 'Member log-in' to the right of the page to log-in to your account. This will take you to your reservation. 3. On the 'My Reservation' page first write down your booking number then click on the 'FunPass - Complete Online' located to the right of the Itinerary (This will take you to the FunPass check in area) Note: Sometimes you will get an error message and you will need to go back to the My Reservation page and click the 'FunPass-Complete Online' a second time. Then it will work. 4. On the 'FunPass Quick Check in' page you may be required to provide your booking number. You should have it from the My Reservation page. 5. You should now see a list of guests traveling and be able to complete a FunPass for each person. 6. Under the list of guests you will see 4 options Book Shore Excursions Now---------Order Gifts & Services Carnival Sea Miles MasterCard-----Join Presidential Wine Club 7. Click on 'Order Gifts and Services' 8. Select 'Details' of any gift. At the bottom of the page will be your booking number and stateroom number. My mom did this class and I think it was a couple of hours for cooking and the rest was fun time until it was time for her to leave. If you want to cook I suggest to book before you go b/c they tend to fill up b/c it is so popular. At least that is what she was told.

Assignments are usually done about 7 weeks out, give or take... but that doesn't mean you will know what it is. You can also search every cabin on the ship if you have time :p LOL

It's called the Legends show... they hold auditions earlier in the week. The show is pretty much set up, and they just look for people to play the roles of the various people... Garth, Aretha, Madonna, etc. They have set performers, so you can't perform just anything...
