We were on the Conquest in December for our fifth time. So we are really familiar with this ship. We are hoping that they will change the Las Vegas shows this year. I heard from one of the cruise directors that they change them every five years, and the Conquest is now in her fifth year - so please, give us some new shows! We don't even really like the ones they have, so we are hoping for something better when we go back in December. (Yes, I know - but we are crazy about this ship and the itinerary, and it is so convenient for us.)

Sherryl

Hi Sherryl,

Remember us. We were on the Conquest with you in 05. We will be on her again Dec. 07. Are you maintaining your tradition?

My only concern is where my room is. We are on the Panorama in #1053. This is an inside right on the end next to the stairs and elevators and is the same level as the pool/waterslide. We don't spend much time in our room and we sleep like rocks because we are so tired but has anyone had any problems with rooms in this area?

Alibaster ~ I don't think that you will have a problem with your cabin location. We were in 1039 (accross the hall & down a bit) and it was a wonderful location. Your cabin isn't as close to the steps/elevator as it appears, you'll see what I am talking about when you get there. We did hear and occassional banging/scratching noise but it was a great/convenient location. We were there in December and our room steward, Joselito, was WONDERFUL. I hope he is still there for you when you cruise.

Who is the ventriliquist that sometimes performs on the Conquest? I would like to know if he performs on other ships. :)

Imbossy ~ Marc Rubben was the comedian/ventriloquist on the Conquest in December. Not sure if he is on other ships or not. HTH

Hey everyone - I was on the conquest in September. I have capers, TONS of pictures (check em out - http://sgr818.dotphoto.com and go to cruise pictures you'll find onboard the ship pics along with pics from the 3 ports). I'd be happy to answer any questions ya'll have! Happy sailing!

LOL!! That photo of all of the spilt milk was classic! I don't think I've ever seen a photo of the food being loaded onto the ship before... I really enjoyed that album! Great detail!

If the weather is really bad, Carnival will go to a different island. You won't know until you are on board. The captain will make the announcement after you are at sea. You leave Galveston on Sunday but don't hit Grand Cayman until Thursday so they can't usually tell for sure what is going to happen that far in advance. If your excursions are booked through Carnival, yes you will get a refund. The tenders are pretty big in Grand Cayman...not the little boats we had a couple of years ago in Belize. There's no way they could have dealt with bad weather. But the tenders they use in Grand Cayman are nice..two story.

Hey, I love this thread! :)

We are finally getting to go on the Conquest! This ship has been on my "wishlist" for quite some time! We have cabins 9253 (balcony)& 9255 (inside) on the Lido deck. I'd really appreciate any input from anyone as to movement or noise on this deck that you have experienced. Thanks!

Sgrgirl20...loved the pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Hey everyone! I will be sailing on the carnival conquest Sept. 30. I will be on the panarama deck room 1041. First question, has anyone stayed on that deck, and if so did they enjoy it? And I am 23 and will be on my honeymoon, does anyone have any suggestions for fun things to do. Should I book my excursions through Carnival, or independent? Where can I find the roll call for this cruise?

I glad to see another Tony Fan! Whcih cabin did you have.....what excursions did you do?

Did you get hounded in Jamaica about buying Pot? Hookers?

And just how many days until Daytona????? Waaaayyy toooo many!

We were in cabin 8274. Seemed like a perfect location. Just off the elevators and up on deck f8 for a great view from our balcony. If I had to do it all over again, I would get an aft balcony. I went to a friends and it was awesome! Long walk to the back of the ship but worth the view!!!!

Never had any problems in Jamaica.....we did the Rose Hall resort. Waste of money. Next time I will just do the Margaritaville for some drinks. If you have never been to Jamaica, do not be intimated by the poverty or the kids trying to clean your windshield.

Cruzin' rocks!

Does anyone know of the link to the Blood Power band, i saw on the boards, somewhere but i am unable to locate the thread.

Also does anyone know the exact date for the Blood Power band to be leaving the Conquest?

As I mentioned, Albert stated they would be leaving in March or April, I don't know the exact date... I can try to find out, but they thought it would be April (that was in October) I've never seen a website for them

Scared to post to much here, scared it will make me a Nascar fan

To the person asking about the bottles, yes, they do have the new aluminum bud bottles (bud and bud light)

Carnival Platinum Question

http://www.carnival.com/CMS/Articles/concierge_club.aspx

Checking for room number GTY From R&S (Ron and Sue)

The easiest way is to log into the Carnival website and click on modify booking (only for booking with PVP/Carnival only).

If the modify option doesn't work, here is another method. (It's a bit detailed, but it will work)

1. On the Carnival homepage click 'My Reservation' located on the top of the page.

2. Use the 'Member log-in' to the right of the page to log-in to your account. This will take you to your reservation.

3. On the 'My Reservation' page first write down your booking number then click on the 'FunPass - Complete Online' located to the right of the Itinerary (This will take you to the FunPass check in area) Note: Sometimes you will get an error message and you will need to go back to the My Reservation page and click the 'FunPass-Complete Online' a second time. Then it will work.

4. On the 'FunPass Quick Check in' page you may be required to provide your booking number. You should have it from the My Reservation page.

5. You should now see a list of guests traveling and be able to complete a FunPass for each person.

6. Under the list of guests you will see 4 options

Book Shore Excursions Now---------Order Gifts & Services

Carnival Sea Miles MasterCard-----Join Presidential Wine Club

7. Click on 'Order Gifts and Services'

8. Select 'Details' of any gift. At the bottom of the page will be your booking number and stateroom number.

Your room number will show up as GUAR until it has been assigned.

We just booked for the Sept 30th sailing and are super excited about it! This is our second cruise.. the first being the 5 day on the Ecstacy last May.

We got a great Past Guest deal and went from 4A to 4G!!! We were very happy with our cheap little 4A last year.... we are now up on the Panorama deck in room 1049.

Anyone have any experience with this deck? Is it on the same deck as the pool and buffet food court?

Looks like we're going to be neighbors! My hubby and I (26 & 25) are in 1045! We are traveling with a group of friends, so far 3 other couples! Here's the link to the Roll Call http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=426970

Hope to see you there!
