Do you "quote" Cruise Critic on your cruise?

On my last cruise, more than I'd like to admit, I caught myself saying to my DH: " on cruise critic I learned .........or someone from CC posted.....etc"

 

Do you catch yourself sharing tips (a little too often) on your cruises that you've picked up here?

However I have read someone refer to toddlers who are not potty trained and use the pool as "fecal teabags" and I have used that term in a discussion or two :o)

Yes, I guess I do. It surprizes me how many seasoned cruisers are not aware of Cruise critic. I am always telling them to "check it out". Sue

yes, I do it all the time!!! A few different times I would be saying something to my husband and someone would over hear me mention CC and they would say something to me about it because they are on here also!!! We would get a good laugh out of it.

I talk about stuff that I've read hear all the time, not just on a cruise. There is quite a bit of info from the world that is imparted on a regular basis here.

 

We were at a travel fair this week and every vendor save one (Disney) knew what CC was and acknowledged that they've lurked from time to time. The Carnival rep said that they have someone who regularly reads the Carnival board and uses it to get the pulse of the travelers. I thought that was pretty neat.

Very often I catch myself say to my husband,

"on Cruise Critic it said so and so" and he listens

and most times it proves true.

 

CC is invaluable for info.

Definitely...........There is so much info to be found here, I don't think I can go through a cruise without bringing up some tidbit of knowledge that I've acquired here. These boards are a cruisers best asset!:D

I find that I am frequently suggesting CC as a reference source for other cruisers or wannabe cruisers.

 

I get questions from others in my company and from customers alike. Almost always I bring them here for a broad range of opinions.

Cruise Critic has been a great source of entertainment to us at times.....:p

Sometimes I scan thru the topics looking to read a juicy one where the flamers roast the trolls . Yes....lots of fun.

Seriously though........ this has turned out to be a sort of think tank as there are many opinions and experiences to review when you have a question. On the whole, a positive thing.

By the way, our cruise card ( yes...we have one ) has 3 things on it. Our Cruise critic name, Our names, and www.cruisecritic.com so people who ask me lots of questions can look it up for themselves.

I find it humorous when I wear my "cruise critic" tee shirt and walk around the ship. Some of the reactions I get are amazing. First they'll ask if I work for the cruise line. After I assure them I don't they then proceed to complain to me about the eggs being cold that morning or too much smoke in the casino, etc. As if I have some control over those issues. The last time I pulled out a little pad and pen and started writing down notes to pacify them. :)

I am guilty too. My problem is that my family doesn't cruise with me, (only my sister), and they don't really care what's happening on CC. But I tell them anyway!! Sometimes I think I even bore my sister with the tidbits I have learned. However, all of them liked the 200.00 discount I learned about on CC. Nobody was rolling their eyes at that!

I love CC. and I am not afraid to say I am an addict!!

My daughter (yes she is Meg)-got a lanyard and a belt purse that says cruisecritic and also she had a litle cruisecritic magnet on our stateroom door-she ordered all this here-so we had several mention to us that they went to this website some and a few even recognized my name-so I guess that means I am here too much!

Although we have been on 14 cruises, I am a newbie to cruise critic. I had read it in the past, but this year I seem to be a regular every day and have even made a few posts! I got a kick out of the trouble that some take to get "free stuff". The person who scooped up the plastic drink cups from the Lido Deck and washed them out to take home took the prize. BUT...I am interested in getting a $200 discount. Please tell me more!

I am constantly saying "on cc they say...". Have learned invaluable info on cc, great excursions to take - Victor Bodden Tours in Roatan, Paradise Beach in Cozumel, etc., great restaurants, what to do/take & not to do/take on a cruise, and so many other things. Sure has added to the cruise experience & also enjoy cc almost every day when we're not cruising! Thanks everyone!

Not really, I might at the meet and greet, but other than that I don't think I do. I have let people know about CC and of course daily, at home, DH has to hear me mention CC. NMnita LOL

Yes. :) Although I am new to the cruise world. I have become a cruise critic addict. My poor DH has to hear about the things I have learned all of the time.
