Inside Cabin Snobs

So those of us who have booked inside cabins are "slumming" and "snobs"?!

Am I missing the joke or what?

I believe this is a spinoff joke of another thread that was entitled "balcony snobs" I wouldn't take it too personal :)

Hi, my name's Gina and I'm proud to be a inside slummin snob!!!!!!! HaHaHa Although I must admit that I am jealous of even those that get to see the light of day in their cabin LOL

Iv been in cabins more than 50% of the time with a view out. Does that make me an outside cabin snob? Where's my thread on outside cabins snobs, I want equal treatment :P

If balconys were not such a step up, I would get one in a minute, but for now I will remain an outside cabin snob. I like to watch the water, how novel.

Wow, I must be the queen of the slum snobs, we booked a 1a for $399 a person. Yes we are on the Empress deck (7 I think?) so we are close to the food and the pool, but we will have BUNK BEDS. I kid you not, BUNK BEDS. I was half way through booking the room when I noticed that the senior discount meant we would have one of the lousiest inside cabins on the ship. To upgrade would have meant blowing the great deal I thought I had found. So we are sailing a little less like royalty and a little more like the royal navy. Hmmmm, you think they'd let us peel some potatoes or run the linen press? It could be a theme cruise. :D

So, if you are in your room like 5 hours a night, does that make you an Iniside Cabin snob? I just choose to spend my money on other things........more shopping, more casino, more pictures. I've had balcony, inside, outside.....and will be in my first 1a in Sept. It is one of those that have to two bigger windows and can't wait to see what all the hoopla is about...............

Guess if I like it I will have to insist on a 1a snob thread. :D :p

I would just like to point out that not everyone can slum it in an inside cabin.

So many posts deal with the best locations of inside cabins. They go on, ad infinitum, of perks, locations, etc.. They post the cabin numbers, decks, blah, blah, blah...

We are told, over and over again... "I WOULD NEVER CRUISE IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN AN INSIDE CABIN"

Well, folks, there are some of us who cannot slum it in inside cabins. We consider a downgrade to a category 11 cabin to be "hell."

We feel we will be laughed at when we post a question regarding a suite.

It just seems that Cruise Critic has become a slumming board for those who can slum it in inside cabins.

OMG thats funny

Lis123 if I could get a price of $399 pp, Id take it even with bunk beds.

Barbevrn, I think I got the same cabin as you are talking about. I picked that date, 10/21 to get that cabin, I wanted to see what the fuss was about too and picked that date to get that particular cabin. Hope its as good as they say. Let us know when you get back in Sept, I had to wait until Oct 21st to get it. Take some pics of the cabin and email them to me? Im curious too.

I'm so conflicted.....

On one hand, I love being in a balcony, I'll gladly pay for me and dh to have our little haven of outdoor privacy.

On the other hand, I love having the kids in an inside cabin across the hall. It's dark, they sleep later and with them inside I can actually afford a trip for the whole family. Sometimes I even nap in their space.

So am I a snob or a slum lord? Oh the humanity.... I'm so confused!

No Inside cabins for us - no outside cabins - no regular balcony cabins either - we are the Grand Suite snobs - but, we like everyone and everyone likes us - no problem. Happy cruising to everyone.:D

Now that I am officaly an inside snob, I have a few questions for you inside pro's. Is there a corkage fee at dinner in my ripped jeans for my box of White Zin? Are there cabins for 6, or do I need to sneak jr on? What's the most Pabst Blue Ribbon you've ever carried on? Has anyone tried to put rogain and viagra on their chest for the hairy chest contest? I figure it will give me lots of hair that will really stand up and be noticed! Speaking of contests will any one notice this is my fourth newly wed game attempt? I'm not cheating, I just can't keep my marrige together in that trailer back in Mississippi.
According to a friend of a friend I have, studies have shown that inside cabin cheapskates are also ten times more likely to remove auto tips from their accounts and claim they'll; 'tip in an envelope to provide a more personal touch.' :D

:D According to a friend of a friend of a friend another study shows that inside snobs are the biggest booze smuggling, chair-hogging, jeans in the dinning room wearing people on the boat (ship for you snobs)!!!!

:D :D :D

We are a family torn now. My son and I are booked in an IS room and my wife and daughter are in a Balcony. The cruise societal clashes we are having in the house now between the IS and BL snobs is tearing us apart  . I am almost ready to swear off cruising, cancel it all together and book a lowly all inclusive where we have no snob clashes. The nights I have laid awake tossing, turning, sweating over this is leaving me a wreck. Is it all worth it??? Why can't we all just get along???

Not likely... :D

Are there cabins for 6, or do I need to sneak jr on? Put him in your checked luggage with the boxes of wine - should arrive before dinner but just in case, throw some rations in for him.

What's the most Pabst Blue Ribbon you've ever carried on? Pour them out of the bottles into 5 gallon clear plastic water jugs - they won't know.

Has anyone tried to put rogain and viagra on their chest for the hairy chest contest? I figure it will give me lots of hair that will really stand up and be noticed! That is just weird and a waste of good viagra. You never know if a group of swingers will be on board and you will need that supply :D

Speaking of contests will any one notice this is my fourth newly wed game attempt? I'm not cheating, I just can't keep my marrige together in that trailer back in Mississippi. Leave the wives at home and bring your cousin - that's what we do in Canada.

Right there with you. DH and I are 9A; kids are 4C ... the best of both worlds. We are creatures who live in the dark AND the light.
