alexspepaw Posted May 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2007 Please don't flame me...but I am travelling on the CB in the fall with a couple who both smoke. What are their smoking options? I seem to remember that smoking on their balconies is forbidden because of safety issues; can they smoke in their cabin? Are there sections of the ship available for them to smoke outside? Obviously the cigar bar is an option. Thanks in advance...
chrysalis Posted May 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2007 they can smoke on their balconies...and in their cabins, and in clearly marked areas of the ship, both inside and out.
Pam in CA Posted May 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2007 they can smoke on their balconies...and in their cabins, and in clearly marked areas of the ship, both inside and out. This is correct. Most lounges have a smoking section and, outside the buffet and towards the pool and the grill, there are ashtrays on the tables on one side so that passengers who smoke can sit outside and enjoy their meals. You cannot carry a cigarette (or cigar) through the ship and generally, smoking is not allowed in the interior public areas except for the marked areas in bars and lounges. The theaters do not allow smoking.
Brig&Luc Posted May 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2007 For sure one side of the Wheelhouse bar is a designated smoking area. As for Crooners, Explorers' loundge and Club Fusion, I don't know and am interested in finding out as well.

You can smoke on the port side of Club Fusion, in the very back most of the time. Actually they have a small area of video poker machines where you can smoke at in this area, plus tall chairs/tables next to the video poker area. Some events they do not allow smoking, but the majority of time it is allowed.
Brig&Luc Posted May 9, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2007 Seagarsmoker, Thanks for the information. Do you know about the Explorers' Loundge and Crooners'? I'm not sure, but I think they're non-smoking.
Pam in CA Posted May 9, 2007 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2007 There is a section of the Explorer's Lounge that is smoking.
seagarsmoker Posted May 9, 2007 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2007 Sorry, can't help you with either of those. I never went to Crooners and did not see a smoking section in Explorers lounge (but I wasn't looking for one either - that is why I am not sure). When are you cruising? We'll be cruising on the Caribbean Princess again in 3 1/2 weeks and can find out for sure either way.
alexspepaw Posted May 9, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted May 9, 2007 Thanks for all the polite responses...that helps a lot, and I am glad to hear they can smoke on their balcony.
cruzkitty Posted May 9, 2007 #10 Share Posted May 9, 2007 They can smoke on their balcony and inside their cabin if they want. They may also smoke in the Casino, although I believe one night is now designated as "Non-Smoking" night. Also, by the pool, one side is for Smoker's. They will find several designated areas to smoke.
