doone Posted August 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2004 Winter, usually March, but could sail in February as well.
jazzsea Posted August 16, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2004 I like to cruise almost anytime. Reminds me of Howdy Doody..... Princess Winterspringsummerfall. I escort groups throughout the year and take my vacation cruise when time permits. My really busy season at work starts in September and doesn't end until March. By the time April comes along, I am ready for vacation. My perfect cruise for rest and relaxation is b2b on Windstar.

sail7seas Posted August 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2004 Every month of the year is my favorite time to cruise. There is no bad time IMO :)
tomc Posted August 16, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2004 Mine is determined by outside forces, totally. That is, the window of opportunity is not under my control, so I take what I can get. The earliest I have cruised is mid-May; the latest will be late October 2004. Both of these have been NE/C and you can bet I wore my fur-lined underwear. elmorejj Posted August 16, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2004 We like to cruise anytime between Dec. and May. Only cruised twice in Summer, both times in June. Wouldn`t consider Aug/Sept, I`m afraid it might get cancelled due to Hurricanes.....jean
RuthC Posted August 16, 2004 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2004 April is the only month in which I haven't cruised on at least one day. There was a string of years that my husband and I seemed to cruise in the Fall. The last couple of years the trans-Atlantics in the summer have struck my fancy (next year too!). Guess you could say my favorite cruising season is anytime between January and December.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 16, 2004 Author #9 Share Posted August 16, 2004 Now that we are retired - We can cruise any month we want to. And I don't think there is a month that we haven't done some type of cruise somewhere.
bobpatj Posted August 17, 2004 #10 Share Posted August 17, 2004 We've cruised in all four seasons. Being retired makes this possible!
Joanne G. Posted August 17, 2004 #11 Share Posted August 17, 2004 Spring is our favorite time to cruise. Winter's not our favorite because we hate flying in winter. We did it once and loved being in shorts in January once the cruise was underway, but worrying about snow-related airline delays and watching the maintenance guys de-icing the plane's wings before take-off - not pleasant. :( We rule out summer because we prefer not to cruise with lots of children. And we rule out fall - at least in the Caribbean - because of hurricane season.
DFD1 Posted August 17, 2004 #12 Share Posted August 17, 2004 We try to avoid cruises of 7 days or less in the Caribbean when school is not in session. We like kids, but 400 of them locked up on a ship with parents who are less than concerned about what they're up to can be less than relaxing sometimes.
