Phillip217 -- I know you're NOT making these up!! I worked in customer service for the airline that probably lost her bag for more than 30 years, and your awards, although they tickle me and make me laugh, also make me so HAPPY I was able to take early retirement!! Silver:cool:

No wonder that she is complaining !!!!

Your former airline lost her bag for thirty tears !!!!:D

It seems the cruise line could pass the buck to the airline.

We flew you to Kansas City

And your luggage to L. A.

Your parakeet to Bourbon Street

And your cat to Tampa Bay

Your carry-on to Lebanon

And your dog to Budapest

We're Hanky-Panky Airlines doing what we do the best

I will drive if it kills me!!!!

It's not often I stuck for coming up with a witty comment to help the thread along, but you know something?

I'm stumped now :(

Me too.......... All I could do was shake my head.

Hmmm...don't "toys" have batteries?

Ahh yes, I now see where you were going . . . . :p

I must admit that for a moment when I read your original post, I thought you were talking about batteries for her hearing aid . . . .

Heck, talk about incorrectly stereotyping people? It's no wonder that my wife gets annoyed with me . . .

Look at it from her point of view. She has no change of underware, no formal attire, nothing but the clothes on her back. How's she going to enjoy the vacation that she's probably been planning and looking forward to for months?

What about the money she's out for a vacation she can barely enjoy?

Ok George W., (hows your dad btw - send him my regards?) if you were in Phillips shoes (with his budget too), would you have helicoptered a specialist in to talk with her?

Somehow, I doubt it - the economics of that just do not weigh up . . .

Geirge,

We need to keep our perspective on all of this.

She is on a luxury cruise ship with credit cards and shopping - how bad can it get?

Surviving without formal clothes for 48 hours is not nearly as bad as losing a loved one in Iraq for example. Shouldn't somebody be sending all the available therapists to care for those who have permanently lost loved ones - rather than those who have temporarily lost an evening gown?

Isn't this one of the reasons we buy Travel Insurance.

I'm not saying she was being reasonable, just that I could understand why she might be being unreasonable.

I'd be upset too.
