You have been so helpful. Thanks. Now for one more question re: Panama Canal cruise. What did you do in Puntarenas? The ship's tours seem so long. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Pat

Nothing exciting!

We just walked along the beach and looked at the vendors also took a walk up to the supermarket a few blocks away to look for coffee beans ...found some in a shop near the dock!!

Some other took a private tour with Charlie Soto to do the Zip Lining and other did some ship's tours

 

There were lots of tour guides/taxis at the end of the pier you could book something with them to suit your tastes

If you are looking for a good guide in Acapulco I would get in touch with Rosy...we had a great day with her. we booked her from 10 -4pm she would have spent more time if we had want to .
