"All Inclusive"

Are there any "all inclusive" cruises that don't charge extra for alcohol drinks? Or do any cruise lines offer a beer/alcohol package card like they do for soft drinks?

Yes, there some. Even if they charge for alcohol many will provide a couple of bottles in your cabin included in your price. The problem: these are the luxury cruise lines that are 2 to 3 times higher than mass marketed lines.

Several of the luxury lines include alcohol and gratuities as part of the overall cruise fare. This includes, Sea Dream, Regent, Silversea and Seabourn. The overall cruise fare is higher than other lines and one of the reasons are the items that are included in the overall fare.

The luxury lines that include alcohol are sometimes four times higher in price than a mass market line. Plus, those lines don't have the cabin category selection that mass markets do, so you're not going to find cheap inside cabins on many of those lines.

Alll the Mass Market Cruise Lines offer unlimited alcohol packages to groups.

They come in at several different price points - depending on exaclty what is included. Generally we are talking from $35 per day to $80 per person per day. Everyone in the group - for obvious reasons - must buy the package.

Our bill at the end of the week was $10 ..... only because DH bought a hat. All gratuities, drinks (wine, beer, mixed with regular brands), speciality coffees and all excursions were included and there were 2 a day! It was the best trip we ever went on. And in Quito, they incuded the hotel and a tour, lunch on the side of a volcano, and a few meals, and a wonderful grand finale dinner someplace special .... might have been a private room at the opera house.
