Lauderdale hotels

My husband and I are going on the CB next April 13 and were thinking about flying down a day ahead. Any advice on hotel rooms? Will they shuttle you to the dock? What kind of prices are we talking about? Any help you can give will be appreciated, Thanks.

Go to the bottom of the page and look at the right hand side where it says "Forum Jump" Under North American Homeports, click on East Coast Departures. You'll find everything you want to know about hotels in Ft. Lauderdale. We always go in a day ahead and there are many hotels with free shuttles from both the airport and to the port.

We're going out on the Emerald on 4/4 and it is spring break time,

but the hotels are all very pricey at this time, with the Holiday

Inn Express on 17th Street running at $208 before tax, if you purchase

it at an advanced rate.

Embassy Suites is very nice, but a steep $309 plus tax,

Renaissance is showing a AAA rate of $298 [includes tax]

Tonight I decided to place a bid on Priceline, and got the

Renaissance for $234, including tax.

I bid $200.

It's the only 4* in the downtown region [Las Olas/Downtown]

I bid $175 to start, knowing full well this was probably too low

and PL countered, so I went for the full $200, since this represents

around 30% reduction.

Hampton Inns are around $228 including taxes.

So I'm very happy with my deal for such a nice hotel.

To the original poster I just wanted to highly recommend that you do arrive to Fort Lauderdale a day ahead of time. Too often people try to fly that day and the way that schedules are these days plus problems with delayed or canceled flights I always recommend going in at least one day ahead.
