hpjmom Posted August 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Since my DH & I arranged our own plane to & from Ft. Lauderdale (it was cheaper), I didn't arrange transportation to & from port. On the way down we're staying at a hotel & they have a van to port. But on the way home, we are going straight to the airport. Are there shuttles that we can pay for? Or do we just take a cab? (I'm assuming there are LOTS of cabs there.)
Gonzo70 Posted August 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Yes, plenty of cabs are available.
cruiseguy1016 Posted August 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2007 You can also take the RCI shuttle to the airport. Call you TA or RCI to make arrangements. There is a nominal fee.
nanfromatlanta Posted August 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Take a taxi. They will be quite plentiful, faster and cheaper.
PittsburghManoverboard Posted August 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2007 If you go to the passanger service desk anytime during your trip you can buy a transfer from the ship to the airport. My wife and I have done this in the past with no problems. I think it cost about $25 each.

cb at sea Posted August 25, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Just take a cab--you won't have to wait for a bus to fill up--it's not THAT much more expensive (considering what you've spent on this vacation) and it's faster, by far than a shuttle! Plan on about $25.00 or so.

The airport is VERY close to the cruise ship port, so taxi cost is quite reasonable. As others said, no waiting, and in this instance, it's actually cheaper than RC's rate.
