Banana Boat Ride - Is the Boatyard the only place?

We will be in Barbados 12/5 and are considering a 3-hour turtle swim / snorkel tour and thought we might also like to take a banana boat ride. Are there places other than the Boatyard where you can take a banana boat ride?

It's available at most of the popular bathing spots. On the way down the west coast to the turtle swim you will see them at all the differnt beaches zooming around with people screaming. You may even be able to get one from your tour boat as they do come around when you are anchored.

I have seen Banana Boats frequently on the West Coast by Paynes bay and on Dover beach in St Lawrence Gap.

I was by Dover Beach a few weekends ago the beach is quite a nice beach, lots of facilities like showers ect they have sail boats, banana boats, donuts boogie boards, kyaks and some new board that I can not describe but I have never seen before.

To the end of the beach (faceing the sea to the left if you go around the wall there is a really nice quiet beach hidden away.

Thank you, Sara. I will look for that quiet beach...getting that type of info is what I love about this board! Do you know if there is a fee to visit the Dover or Paynes area?

No Fee just the cab fare there and back. :) or you can as some suggest take a bus. But I recommend a cab just make sure to agree on a price before you get in the cab .

It's a big bouncy inflatable tube of a thing,

looks like a large blue curved hot-dog from afar

- it gets towed along behind a speedboat

with 4 or 5 people astride the hot dog,

getting bounced around in the wake.

Falling off is half the fun, I believe..

  • 1 month later...

This guy's en route from one bay to the next

as he goes up and down the coast looking for customers like you.

Same thing with jet-ski's.

Up and down the coast, whole day.

sorry it's so far away, but it was the best I could do.
