Maui Car Rental

There is a car rental outfit withing walking distance of the Kahalui Pier in Maui -- Rainbow Car Rental, formerly Wheels "R" Us. They are a local company, no shuttle required, and the rents are very reasonable. Does anyone have experience with this company?

Rainbow is a very short walk from the Kahului pier. Their vehicles look relatively new (not "rent-a-wreck"), but I do not know anyone who has used them. If you'd prefer a "major", Enterprise is only a few blocks further from the pier and is most definitely walkable.

 

And, don't forget that all the major agencies provide shuttles from the pier to the airport (< five minutes drive).

Haven't seen much on the boards about using Enterprise to rent a car?

Any comments? If it's withing walking distance that would be a big plus.

I've generally found Enterprise to be more expensive than the other major agencies overall. This may be why their name doesn't come up too often here. Just a thought ...
