FishPunkin Posted September 21, 2007 Author #11 Share Posted September 21, 2007 TrueCruiser, That's where I saw the word PAX first -- in one of your posts. Just wasn't sure and didn't want to assume anything. In my mind, I was thinking they would say people instead of passengers and people I've seen abbreviated as ppl, but there's no X in passengers, so pax didn't seem to fit. DUH!:)
caribbean dreams Posted September 21, 2007 #12 Share Posted September 21, 2007 When you go to St. Thomas and San Juan you aren't leaving the United States so all they take are US$ Just make sure you don't ask any locals if they take US dollars, I saw a fight almost break out when someone asked. Females seem to refer to their "mate" as DH, and I just don't get it. :o

NCTribeFan Posted September 22, 2007 #20 Share Posted September 22, 2007 Ha! Great! I guess my guess was pretty close after all. Thanks! So, I'll be sailing just with my DD this time. If she posted here, she'd probably refer to me as MM (Money Mom), since she probably only consents to travel with me because I pay her way! :D

joan_al Posted September 22, 2007 #22 Share Posted September 22, 2007 I keep reading about pax. What is PAX? In the real world PAX 1. Ecclesiastical a. A small flat tablet adorned with a sacred image that worshippers kiss when offered the kiss of peace. b. The kiss of peace. 2. Pax A time of wide-ranging stability when there is only a single dominant power. Only on Cruise Critic pax=passenger
