We last used Jade when Monarch was on the west coast. At that time, Jade was not very booked.

I have a question about diamond benefits on Monarch. Is there a special breakfast area or is that just on ships with Chops and/or Portfino? If so, what is served/included? Thanx. :)

There is a special areas in the main dining room , where you will get the same breakfast as everyone, but you may also order some limited specialty coffees. The dining room now has a cereal and fruit bar .

The coffee on the Monarch was good in the dining room and room service. In the common area's it wasn't as good for some reason.

The Diamond breakfast was in a specified section of the MDR and included special coffees. The evening Diamond event is held in the forward section of the Viking Crown. Looking forward to partaking of these next week:D:D:D.

I just got off the Labor day 3 night cruise, and it was wonderful. This was my first time on Monarch. The service was the best I've had in awhile. And the ship smelled great! (the last time I was on the Sovereign, it smelled funny) They were constantly cleaning it. The inside cabin we had was definitely smaller than the one on Sovereign, with less storage space.

Basically the same...........there was a change of cruise director(as of last Friday),so who know if that will make any difference
