Canada to US Customs

U.S. citizen flying from Calgary to Dallas/Fort Worth and then on to Ft. Lauderdale, have a short connection time. Do we go through Passport Control and Customs in DFW?

As the others said, you always clear USA customs at the Canadian Airport when flying back to the United States. So give yourself a little extra time at the airport to accomplish this.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. There are eight airports that have pre-clearance for US bound flights:

 

Vancouver

Calgary

Edmonton

Winnipeg

Toronto

Ottawa

Montreal

Halifax

 

Flights from any other Canadian city are handled as standard foreign arrivals, with C&I at the US port of entry.

Flyertalker, as usual you are correct. When I responded and used the word all I was thinking of the large Canadian airports rather than each any every airport in Canada. Thanks for clarifying.
