heatherandfred Posted January 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2008 This is more or less geared towards the NYers of the forum. Where can I get sundresses from? I leave in April and am so compulsive about packing like right now :D . Not sure where I can find them so early in the winter season. I'm not trying to spend a million dollars on several. Help would be appreciated. I'm just wondering if I should try the cheapie cheapie stores like Conway..LOL.

cb at sea Posted January 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2008 Since you're not leaving until April, you will have more luck finding dresses that aren't clearance from last year, if you wait until the beginning of March, when the new stuff comes out! Karen & Dennis Posted January 12, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2008 We're leaving March 2nd - and I have found some Jams World sun dresses on EBay. I got one for a swimsuit cover-up and another dress with matching shirt for a casual night. Just another suggestion ... Happy Shopping! I'll check through him to see if they have some. To the rest of you guys, I'll try Conways as well. There is one not too far from me on Fordham Road. love2vacation Posted January 13, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2008 I think you will be able to find them right before you cruise. We have cruised in March and they are usually in the stores right when I get back! (Mid-late March) Try the GAP, Dillards, even JC Penny had some great sun dresses last year and pretty early in the season. You could try Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft as well. Good Luck!
CateW Posted January 13, 2008 #9 Share Posted January 13, 2008 I just got a cataloge from Boston Proper (bostonproper.com). I have not ordered from them before but they have some really cute sundresses that are not outrageously priced.

CateW Posted January 13, 2008 #11 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Yikes, I ordered 3 today:eek: ; I'll post back when they come, although one won't ship for 30 days because it's back ordered. I guess that's a good sign.

DIST-THDR Posted January 18, 2008 #14 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Heather, Try a Macy's near you. Got a great little sundress there just last week in Buffalo. Perfect for our next cruise. Lots of new stuff coming in everyday.
CateW Posted January 20, 2008 #15 Share Posted January 20, 2008 The dresses I ordered from Boston Proper arrived - one is on back-order. Quality is very good and they look great. I'm keeping them all even though I can't justify it!
cruise kitty Posted January 21, 2008 #16 Share Posted January 21, 2008 try J. Crew's website- they have a really cute "beach dress" sun-dress in strapless as well as shift style that would look great with a little cashmere cardigan for when its gets cool, I've got them in every color! p.s.- you can sometimes find them on ebay for a lot less!:)
