cassieroll Posted January 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2008 I've searched for threads and am having trouble finding my answer so I thought I'd ask the experts. How does this work exactly? I booked our upcoming cruise on one of those sale days where we received an OBC of 50 ea or 100 total. Is there a place on rccl's website where it shows this credit? Is it somehow attached to my reservation and I'm not seeing it? And what exactly is an OBC and how do I use it? LOL! I was going to book our cruise and when I called the woman told me to call back tomorrow so I could get this fabulous deal so I did but I'm not really sure what the deal is and how fabulous it is. ROFL Help! Thanks!
Sue L Posted January 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2008 Obc is basically cash , it can be used for anything on board like drinks, pictures, shopping, etc. You will not see it on your reservation and it won't show on your account until a day or two into the cruise. ROFL Help! Thanks! I suggest you call RCCL and ask if the OBC is listed and then ask for an email confirmation of the booking, print it out and take with you to the cruise. OBC's will be on your account, and will be credited towards charges you make during the cruise.
39august Posted January 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2008 No, you can't see your OBC on your reservation, but RCI agents can. When you call ask them to verify for you. OBC is good for any type of purchase you make on your SeaPass card: excursions, drinks, casino, specialty dining, merchandise, and gratuities, if you elect to add them to your card. cassieroll Posted January 27, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted January 27, 2008 Super! Thanks so much for your help. I've taken many cruises but this is the first one with an OBC. Sheesh. I feel like a first timer. LOL Thanks again! :D
Arizona Laura Posted January 27, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 27, 2008 Our OBC for a group cruise did not officially show up till Wednesday morning when boarding Sunday. Guest relations acted like nothing unusual with this. Maybe some of the OBCs show up at different time frames depending on where they are being credited from. mckinna Posted January 27, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 27, 2008 When you get on board, make sure it shows up in your account. If you're on a ship where you have SeaPass account access on your TV, you can check it there, or otherwise, just go to the purser's desk and ask them. Sometimes it might not show up right away, but just check to make sure. Have a great time!

czcruiser13 Posted January 27, 2008 #10 Share Posted January 27, 2008 If you book with RCCL and have a invoice emailed to you, in the left column under Cruise Charges you will see your credit. Mine is coded ADV1-$100 ONBRDCR. Keep your invoice just in case it doesn't show up on your account.:)

Mine was there the first day, on the Jewel this week. Took care of those pesky bottles of champagne and red wine the first night in the dining room. ;) :D
