Colo Cruiser Posted February 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2008 The majority are 75 days out. There is an exception right now with the # and 4 day CB cruises at 60 days. :) If it is not in by the final payment day it will be cancelled pretty much immediately. paul929207 Posted February 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2008 If final payment is not made, they will cancel within a couple of days. However, they can cancel the day after it is due, so don't push your luck. I would guess they are quicker to cancel if there is a waitlist. BJS Posted February 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2008 when is final payment due, and when would princess cancel if it wasnt madeIf you are considering booking a cruise just call Princess and ask when the payment will be due. If booking with a TA ask them because they frequently want the money a week or more before Princess needs it. It will vary from cruise to cruise. Our May cruise was due 90 days before the cruise and so is our Nov. cruise. .
Pam in CA Posted February 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2008 Final payment is generally due between 75 - 90 days before sailing. It depends on the itinerary and time of the year. If you're thinking of booking, ask for when payment is due when you request a quote.
Putterdude Posted February 27, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2008 I think the norm is 75 days but it clicks to 90 days for cruises over holidays like Christmas.
BJS Posted February 28, 2008 #7 Share Posted February 28, 2008 I think the norm is 75 days but it clicks to 90 days for cruises over holidays like Christmas. Both of our cruises this year are not over a holiday and they are 90 days .
cactusrose Posted February 28, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2008 It's 90 days for Christmas, New Years and 20+ day sailings. Non Holiday sailings and up to 20 days are 75 days. There may be an exception for cruises shorter than 7 days.
newmexicoNita Posted February 28, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 28, 2008 60 to 90 days depending on the cruise: 75 days is standard. If you do not make the payment it can be cancelled at midnight that day or you may given a few day's lieway. If you do not pay you loose your deposit as well. chasetf Posted February 28, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 28, 2008 when is final payment due, and when would princess cancel if it wasnt made To add to the above posters..... we have our TA pay (with a credit card) at least three business days before it is due. This way we have the opportunity to make sure it went through and can react if things look awry. ;)
