Pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres?

I recently read HAL puts out hors d'oeuvres in a few lounges prior to dinner - did I read this correctly? If so, what a wonderful "little" touch we're looking forward to!

Can anyone tell me which lounges these would be in so we can look for them? We usually don't get a pre-dinner drink so might miss them without knowing where they might be.

Thank you! If it helps any, we'll be on the Westerdam in May.

We usually had a pre-dinner drink in the Atrium bar on the Zuiderdam, and the bartender always brought a plate or two of them over.

Perhaps if you go to any lounge, you can ask for them if you don't see them out?

Hot hors d'oeuvres are served in all major bars, twice in the evenings. Once for the early dinner seating guest and then before late seating. That would include the Ocean bar, Crows Nest, Atrium bar, not sure about the Explorers lounge, Piano bar if open, or possibly the casino bar. It is really a nice touch, but be careful that you don't over do before dinner, which is easy to do with those yummy hors d'oeuvres.

We had them on the Westerdam in the Ocean bar, but we had to ask for them.

We went there for a pre-dinner drink most nights. The same hors d'oeuvres were served each night. They were some kind of spring roll with a dipping sauce. I didn't eat any because I didn't want to spoil my dinner. :D

We found them in the Crows Nest after 5pm. Each evening they'd come around with 3 hot and 3 cold hors d'ouerve choices on silver platters, and the choices were different each day. The Crow's Nest was our favorite, as it cleared out once the sun went down - so great to just hang out and chat with friends and family, and get to know the staff.

I'm in total agreement with SandRaven. The CROW'S NEST is wonderful!!! There's a small smoking section at the bar if you're a smoker. The staff is remarkable, and they keep the munchies coming!

Dom and I were in there every night on both the Volendam and the Amsterdam.

Have fun! :)
