lcpagejr Posted May 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Until you reach Platinum (10 cruises)...very little. Only perk of value is past passenger party where you can score some free drinks for an hour
yeg111 Posted May 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2008 The only thing you get, as far as I know, is special rates on some cruises. Once onboard you get invited to a past guest cocktail party. I did also get a Glory pin.

yogimax Posted May 27, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2008 In all honesty, RCCL has a much better loyalty program than Carnival
mom2girls Posted May 27, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Yes, RCCL does have better perks. It's nice to get the little coupon booklet and welcome back gift. But overall, I still like Carnival better.
pungo3 Posted May 27, 2008 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2008 The perks aren't great (the past guests coctail party and sometimes a ship's pin) but I still like cruising Carnival. Oh, after 10 cruises, you do get VIP boarding.
Georgiagolfer Posted May 27, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 27, 2008 on royal caribbean previous cruisers get to board in the vip line much shorter line does carnival have anything like that madi Odd, but didn't know that. Thought it was for those who had 5 or more cruises with RCI. Went last November on the Mariner but wasn't allowed in the VIP line, although we have previously sailed with RCI. Will try it out on our next cruise with them.

I dont think they meant that after your first cruise you got to go in the VIP line on RCL. I think you took the post too literally, they just meant at some point its available. But VIP or not, a cruise is a cruise no matter which line I'm in.
Toddcan Posted May 28, 2008 #14 Share Posted May 28, 2008 We've only sailed once on Carnival, but when I booked my August cruise on the Holiday, I got a "past guest" discount which gave me an oceanview room for the price of an inside room. selucrey Posted May 28, 2008 #15 Share Posted May 28, 2008 There are a few "perks" if you are on a past guest Cruise. We received a small discount on price and in our cabin there was a tote-bag with t-shirts,towels,pins and other little trinkets.
