Jolimont Posted May 30, 2008 #26 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I've done it a few times myself, so no, I wouldn't think you were crazy at all!
Sandi149 Posted May 30, 2008 #27 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Definitely not. I took pictures of practically every meal. :D Go for it and have a great time. :)

Ehpride Posted May 30, 2008 #29 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I took at least 800 pictures on my last cruise and my mom took the same! Needless to say, we had a lot of them to go through! And, yes, I took pictures of my food too. I also took a series of drink pictures!
sixy-six Posted May 30, 2008 #30 Share Posted May 30, 2008 And I thought I was the only crazey person around here. Have Camra, will take Pics:D
Beachgirl6479 Posted May 30, 2008 #31 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Definitely not weird, my friends and I take pictures of anything and everything. We didn't just limit ourselves to food pictures on the ship, we took pictures of the food we ate in port. The only picture that got strange comments was when we asked the debarkation manager to take our picture of us standing in front of the Victory as it sailed away without us...after being kicked off the ship (really, really long story, it was a misunderstanding, and all worked out in the end). The nice thing about being on a cruise is everyone is a tourist...everyone has that gleeful look in their eyes of vacation bliss. You're going to be in good picture-takin' company:cool:
deborahjo Posted May 30, 2008 #32 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I love to see pictures of peoles food. My husband refuses to let me take pictures of our food. He thinks it is weird.
Froufie Posted May 30, 2008 #33 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Please remember 'where' you are people! This is cruise critic! We take pictures of everything 'cruise-like' from an orange on a deck chair to towel animals to capers to casino 'camels' to menus to FOOD! Are you kidding? I love seeing the pics of all the yummy stuff - and while I usually don't bring my camera to dinner on my last 2 cruises I did...and yes snapped away at not only my meals but anyone else at my table who was willing to 'pose' with theirs!!! Remember we are a rare breed! ha ha ha :D:D
dmdiver Posted May 30, 2008 #34 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I never thought to take pics of the food, but it wouldn't bother me if you did. Heck, why not? We get to eat things on a cruise that we don't normally get at home, so I say click away!
jms2362 Posted May 30, 2008 #35 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Not weird just a little strange.
trock Posted May 30, 2008 #36 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I love taking pictures. On our last cruise, it was just the two of us (Princess anytime dining) and I took a picture of just about everything we ate. DH thinks I'm crazy (although, he did have to take a picture of his pork chop one night). Now, I am assuming we'll be eating with more people on this cruise since it's assigned seating. Would you find it weird if I was at your table and taking pictures of the food? Weird like us and we all do it ! :D
Ehpride Posted May 30, 2008 #37 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Weird like us and we all do it ! :D That first one looks really yummy!

pungo3 Posted May 30, 2008 #39 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I wouldn't think you were weird. I'll probably be doing the same thing. I love pictures of food. It's part of the cruise experience to me. If the people at your table don't seem really friendly, you might just warn them what you are doing. Even though, still take those pictures!! mjohns2 Posted May 30, 2008 #40 Share Posted May 30, 2008 It wouldn't bother me if you took the picture once my food arrived. With that said I think once I start eating it you would need to stop taking pictures of my food. I think that's fair, for me.
Luckysll Posted May 30, 2008 #41 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I'm taking some friends on an Alaska cruise next year on the Spirit. They've never been on a cruise and are SO excited. When I was on the Spirit last January, I was taking pictures of everything aboard ship....menus, food, etc., so they would have a good idea of what it was like. So, it wouldn't bother me a bit if someone else was taking pictures at the dinner table :) .

Drew B Posted May 30, 2008 #47 Share Posted May 30, 2008 That's not from Carnival, is it? I was under the impression that Carnival doesn't offer hot breakfast via room service...
kidless Posted May 30, 2008 #48 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I must be in the minority here but if I was in the formal dining room and some one whipped their camera out and took pictures of their food I'd think they were a little odd. Would it bother me or take away from my dinner not in the least...actually it would give me and DH something to snicker about! :D
Caribbreeze Posted May 31, 2008 #49 Share Posted May 31, 2008 The only picture that got strange comments was when we asked the debarkation manager to take our picture of us standing in front of the Victory as it sailed away without us...after being kicked off the ship (really, really long story, it was a misunderstanding, and all worked out in the end). I'll bet that's a really, really long story! angelsx4 Posted May 31, 2008 #50 Share Posted May 31, 2008 I wouldn't mind as long as you hurried up(so I could dig in) and took the pic and didn't take any of me shoving it in my mouth! lol All the different dishes is half the fun.
