Would you think me weird if I did this at dinner?

I took at least 800 pictures on my last cruise and my mom took the same! Needless to say, we had a lot of them to go through!

And, yes, I took pictures of my food too. I also took a series of drink pictures!

Definitely not weird, my friends and I take pictures of anything and everything. We didn't just limit ourselves to food pictures on the ship, we took pictures of the food we ate in port. The only picture that got strange comments was when we asked the debarkation manager to take our picture of us standing in front of the Victory as it sailed away without us...after being kicked off the ship (really, really long story, it was a misunderstanding, and all worked out in the end). The nice thing about being on a cruise is everyone is a tourist...everyone has that gleeful look in their eyes of vacation bliss. You're going to be in good picture-takin' company:cool:

Please remember 'where' you are people! This is cruise critic! We take pictures of everything 'cruise-like' from an orange on a deck chair to towel animals to capers to casino 'camels' to menus to FOOD! Are you kidding? I love seeing the pics of all the yummy stuff - and while I usually don't bring my camera to dinner on my last 2 cruises I did...and yes snapped away at not only my meals but anyone else at my table who was willing to 'pose' with theirs!!!

Remember we are a rare breed! ha ha ha :D:D

I love taking pictures. On our last cruise, it was just the two of us (Princess anytime dining) and I took a picture of just about everything we ate. DH thinks I'm crazy (although, he did have to take a picture of his pork chop one night). Now, I am assuming we'll be eating with more people on this cruise since it's assigned seating. Would you find it weird if I was at your table and taking pictures of the food?

Weird like us and we all do it ! :D

I wouldn't think you were weird. I'll probably be doing the same thing. I love pictures of food. It's part of the cruise experience to me. If the people at your table don't seem really friendly, you might just warn them what you are doing. Even though, still take those pictures!!

It wouldn't bother me if you took the picture once my food arrived. With that said I think once I start eating it you would need to stop taking pictures of my food.

I think that's fair, for me.

I'm taking some friends on an Alaska cruise next year on the Spirit. They've never been on a cruise and are SO excited. When I was on the Spirit last January, I was taking pictures of everything aboard ship....menus, food, etc., so they would have a good idea of what it was like.

So, it wouldn't bother me a bit if someone else was taking pictures at the dinner table :) .

I must be in the minority here but if I was in the formal dining room and some one whipped their camera out and took pictures of their food I'd think they were a little odd.

Would it bother me or take away from my dinner not in the least...actually it would give me and DH something to snicker about! :D

 I'll bet that's a really, really long story!
