Briarwood Posted July 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Can anyone who has been in a balcony cabin on the Jewel, tell me if Royal Caribbean provides toiletries such as shampoo, lotion, etc, and if there is a fridge in the room? Thanks!
suzyluvs2cruise Posted July 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Can anyone who has been in a balcony cabin on the Jewel, tell me if Royal Caribbean provides toiletries such as shampoo, lotion, etc, and if there is a fridge in the room? Thanks! There is a mini-fridge in the cabin but no toiletries like lotion or shampoo. There is a dispenser in the shower with a combo shower gel/shampoo and a couple of small bars of soap . If you don't care what you use the gel stuff might be OK..............otherwise you should bring your.
steve20832 Posted July 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2008 There is shampoo in the showers and you get new soap bars everyday. We went by Target and picked up a bottle of liquid anti-bacterial soap and used that because we hate those small soap bars. It was just enough for a 7-day cruise. The fridge is very small, it probably hold about two 6-packs of soda and thats about it. We found it wasn't as cold as our fridge at home either but it did cool down the water we had. cb at sea Posted July 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2008 If you care about what you use on your skin and hair, bring your own stuff. What they give you will do in a pinch, but for a whole week....no way! And be aware--the water on the ship is VERY soft--meaning your shampoo will lather and lather for days! Use about 1/4 of your normal amount, if you don't want to spend major time trying to rinse!!!!!
Barkeeper Posted July 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Last year on our Jewel cruise to the Baltics we were in balcony 7054. We had a gel dispenser in the shower and unlimited small bars of soap for the sink. At a pinch we could have managed but only having to travel 30 minutes from home to port were able to take as much as we needed of our own. If travelling by air why not use provided for first day and purchase remainder in ship shop. May not be your favourite brand but who cares for a couple of weeks.
