maria1234 Posted August 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Just curious....was it on RCL that I spotted cases of coke and sprite being given to porters??? That would be awesome... I dont need a soda card-wont drink that much pop. But, instead of coffee in am, I drink 1-2 cans of diet coke.

But none of the specialty cokes like coke (ptui) zero. Regular Diet Coke they got.
cb at sea Posted August 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2008 A can of soda will cost around $2.00 or so (tip is included in the price), so if you don't want to bring the extra weight, it won't be a budget breaker to buy soda now and again. reallyitsmema Posted August 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Yes, RCL does allow you to bring on soda and water in reasonable quantities. Just slap a luggage tag on it and it will be delivered along with the rest of your luggage.

If you drink 2 cans in the morning thats $4.00, might be smarter to put a luggage tag on a couple of 12 packs and give them to the porters w/ your luggage (if you can manage that if not flying). I think she was asking about bringing on her own (ie cases being given to porters). As has been said already, though, yes, they allow that in reasonable quantities. A case or two of soda would be OK. maria1122 Posted August 9, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Always bring my own soda. I drink caffine free diet, which they do not have onboard. Never a problem bringing it onboard. I do bring it on myself in a rolling bag.
cruisePRN Posted August 9, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 9, 2008 You can bring on your own soda. I don't believe there is a restriction on quantity since it's allowed so I'm confused as to what people mean when they say a reasonable amount.

Well, you are limited to 200 lbs of total luggage per passenger. :D
cruisePRN Posted August 9, 2008 #10 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Well, you are limited to 200 lbs of total luggage per passenger. :D That leaves room for about 300 pounds of soda:D based on double occupancy
Sheils65 Posted August 9, 2008 #11 Share Posted August 9, 2008 We go to Wal-Mart and buy the generic Crystal Light. It is easy to store and we bring a 2 qt container to use and store in fridge. Unless you need the caffeine!! :D
