What to do on your own in Barbados?

Once you leave the ship/dock, what can one expect? If you do not have a tour planned and want to go at it on your own, what are the options?

We've been to Barbados a number of times. By far our favorite Barbados day is Tiami Catamarans. We'll be in Barbados in December and have them booked. A great day...good value for the money.

In other ports we have been able to get off the ship and there have been tour operators/taxi stand with set prices for tours right at the dock area. (a good example of this is Antigua- where we hired a taxi tour at the dock area and had a wonderful tour/day)

 

Is there anything like this in Barbados. Last time we did a ship tour and I just can't remember what was available at the dock.:confused:

 

I dont see any tours on line that will give us what we want. (Harrison Cave, Earthworks and an afternoon on a beach)

If you are looking for a great beach I second the boatyard. We had a blast there and liked it way better than Malibu beach.

Our last 2 visits to Barbados, we've used the services of Cameron Reid to do the kind of tour that you've described. I decided what I wanted to see and then contacted Cameron.
