Can you switch cruises after final payment?

Does anyone know if you can switch cruises after final payment? I am booked on a 1 day and would rather switch to a 3 day that cost more. The 1 day is completely waitlisted. Should I call Princess? The problem is that I booked with an online agency - would I need to go through them?

You will have to go thru the TA that booked your cruise. Call them and find out if there is any cost to cancel the 1 day cruise, if you book the 3 day one.

You would have to go thru your TA. Sometimes they make a move over offer if the ship is booked. On our fill in cruises on the CB some of our cruisers got a move over offer.

Yes, you will need to go through your TA; you will most likely have to cancel the 1-day and book the 3-day as separate cruises.

My travel agent (website) gave me the 75% cancellation on the 1 day and then they could rebook me for the 3 day. Has anyone sucessfully switched a booking to another w/out Princess initiating the process???

Not without a penalty of some kind. :)

Always a penalty after the final payment date if you (not Princess) request the change.

Getting all your money back to put on the other sailing - all depends on how badly the cruiseline wants your cabin back to re-sell.

See if you can get a 3-way call with your T.A.

It will have to go to customer relations and they will have to call the Yield Department, who controls the move-overs. ;)
