Rare Woobstr112G Posted September 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2008 We are saling on the Emerald starting on 3 October for an 18 day T/A. We have a penthouse suite on Riviera deck (R412). Is there anyone out there who has stayed in one of these cabins who can advise regarding noise issues? Also, confirm that the balcony is either totally or partially coverd. I tried searching for answers, but it seems like the search feature is not working..... Thanks in advance for any replies..... -Lew- Posted September 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2008 Your balcony is fully covered by the overhang of the Lido deck directly above. Having never stayed on Riviera deck, I have no personal experience. I have heard that noise generated by activity on Lido can be heard in the cabins below. Having said that, your cabin is not directly below either of the two pools which is a plus for you. Lew
LuvTheGoodLife Posted September 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2008 Your balcony on Riviera is fully covered - I know the regular balcony cabins on Riviera have balconies that are sized 9 ft wide x 5 ft deep but I am not sure of the dimensions for a penthouse suite balcony. I expect it would be both wider and deeper... Let us know upon your return.

mpwarder Posted September 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I have stayed on the Riviera deck on the CB and can say I did hear some minor scraping on a couple of occasions. I can only assume these were chairs on the Lido deck. It was certainly not any louder than the cars that pass by my apartment all night long so I didn't think anything of it.
