Did the casino pay out for YOU?

I won over $3000 dollars on roulette on the Radiance of the seas. Started off betting $10 on (5) birthday numbers and uping the bets to $25 each after a win. During one streak my numbers hit 7 out of 10 spins. I actually won more but gave some of it back before I quit. Never had a run of luck like that in my life........TAZ

I've only had nice payout once or twice. A few weeks ago I was betting 27 cents (9 lines X3 cents per line) on a penny machine , put $10 in and hit for $568. I won;t ecpect it again.

Machines are tight. We can sometimes have a nice time with craps.

Good luck

M

Played last September on the Explorer of the Seas....slots were tight but the BJ tables were fun and profitable. Besides DH placing in the BJ tournament and receiving 2 bottles of wine we also won during the week playing cards.

Not many penny machines on Explorer but near the bar and under the steps and a few against the wall. Most were quarter and up machines.

Hope they update the machines to TITO before the next cruise...:D

On Mariner last October my husband hit for $2000.00 on a video poker and decided (without my knowledge, I would have died) to move up his bet to a $2.00 denomination and hit a ROAYAL FLUSH.....that was $8,000.00! We quickly booked another cruise on the Mariner for us and our two daughters, for last April. Unfortunately, the good luck didn't carry over to the April cruise but we sure had a nice cruise on them!

Radiance in Alaska last June - First at-sea day.. I put $10 in a quarter machine and played (3 quarters per pull) for quite a while. After a while I won $500 - took it back to the room and put it in the safe :) I played with the remaining quarters in my bucket a few times during the rest of the week. Ended up ahead a total of $540.

That was the only time I ever came out ahead on a cruise.

DH won $540.00 on the Rainbowland nickle slots on the Grandeur in April. He was just killing time because he wanted to play the golf game (that doesn't pay) but someone else was using it so he sat down at the Rainbowland to kill time...LOL:D

Not only did we lose money in the FOS casino, we left with a bad taste in our mouths over the attitude of the casino management.

My wife was accumulating points on her card and was closing in on 600 pts on the last night of the cruise. After wasting all that money she felt she might as well get some small token in return - I think it was $10 in cash or 3 tee shirts or something equally paltry. Well, at the final bell she fell about 3 1/2 pts short. ( note: on the second or third day all of our pts. mysteriously disappeared with no explanation. Thinking they must have expired we did not use our cards that day only to find out the next day that there was a system malfunction and points were still accumulating )

Anyway, when we went up to the cashier I asked if they could cut us some slack and give us the prize for 600 pts. The fellow manning the register turned to a woman on his right, a manager I presume, who said in a cold British accent " No, you don't qualify, you get the lesser prize". Could we combine our points I asked. "No!" she replied.

My wife told the ice queen that she had been playing a lot of roulette but had not gotten rated, surely that must count for something. Looking down her nose Ms. Ice said "You have to bet a minimum of xxx dollars an hour ( I don't remember the exact amount - it was almost 3 AM ) and play on every single day of the cruise to be rated". Well that put us in our place. So we slinked away with our $5 bill as I made a comment about keeping up the tradition of excellent customer service on Royal Caribbean.

In sum, after a week of great overall service, and interacting with some very friendly and helpful dealers in the casino, this was like a cold slap in the face. She might as well have said "the cruise is over, we've got you're money, now get the hell out!"

Sorry to rain on such a positive thread. Are we just sore losers, or should we have expected better treatment? Anyone have a similar experience?
