Transportation Between London Airports

I'm trying to work on airline ticket reservations for a cruise that we have booked for next year. I have now come up with a solution that I think will work, though it will involve getting from London Heathrow to London Gatwick on our return portion of the trip. Has anyone had to get between these two airports? If so, any recommendations you have on transportation would be most appreciated.

Last May we transferrred from Heathrow to Luton, then Gatwick to Heathrow on the way back. To Luton because of time restrictions we took a taxi (65 pounds) and coming bac from Gatwick we used the shuttle at http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/interairporttransfers.htm

Unless you are pressed for time, the coach service is really the best way of doing this. This is the website of the company that runs the service.

I used National Express as well. Very simple.

AFAIK, National Express does not operate a direct service from Gatwick to Dover. You can only do this by changing in central London, which adds greatly to the length of the journey.

 

If you search this forum, as well as the Britain and Baltics fora, you'll find many threads and posts discussing how best to get from Gatwick to Dover in different circumstances.
