Yes, it can be bought anytime before you sail. We are talking about insurance that is not through the cruise line.

 

But, certain insuance companies provide some selected benefits that are only good if you purchase them within two weeks of placing your deposit.

 

So, be sure to read the policy carefully.

Yes, insurance can be purchased after final payment, but read the policy very carefully to see what is covered. Many policies only cover pre-existing conditions if the insurance is purchased within 14 days of booking.
