Lowest balcony price Carnival Legend on the 5 June sailings is $2858. Ask for some more details on how to get that rate lol

Maybe it has something to do with the Casino......(I think)......

I just know he called me yesterday with the news:D....he is sailing for

less than 350 bucks.

If anyone is in the market for a spring transatlantic, there are some excellent deals out there now, even with a 100% single supplement.

HAL Eurodam has a balcony cabin on their April TA with a lot of stops in Spain for $1598 solo fare--for 14 days. That ship is gorgeous, had a great cruise on her last year. (Insides are $1198 and oceanview $1298.)

HAL Nieuw Amsterdam, the Eurodam's sister ship, has a TA with a similar itinerary, also 14 days, for $1798 solo balcony, $1298 oceanview and $1278 inside.

If you'd prefer an 11 day TA with only 1 port before you reach Barcelona, the NCL Epic is offering a solo balcony for $1138, studio only $469. IMO no point in going all the way across the Atlantic if you are not stopping at ports, but I guess if you wanted to do some touring in Spain after arriving it would be a great deal.

There are other good deals on both these lines, but I prefer the bigger ships. I wish I could do a spring TA this year but I think my work schedule won't permit it. :(

NCL's website is not the best, and you need to look past the initial price page to see actual costs. A balcony on this cruise currently starts at $854 and that includes a promo choice of $75 OBC or air flight credit, or the Ultimate Dining Package (which is otherwise $179). So if you would buy the UDP anyway (as I would) then the cabin is really just $675. And, you can find the same cabin elsewhere for about $815...

Oh cool, that may be why I had it my head as a really great deal. I did go all the way through the process yesterday to see, but this morning when I decided to post about the prices I didn't go back through it but just put what was listed first. That is a fantastic price!

THANK YOU to poster who posted NCL Western Med. solo prices on CC!

I am going in November and it will be my first int'l flight and cruise. My cousin is supposedly going too but if she flakes it will be okay since I've done two solos before. I am little nervous about flying internationally alone (female) basically navigating the whole process but I just couldn't pass up a great deal like this.

Quantum of the Seas, Barcelona to Dubai, May 13 to May 29 - 16 days, seems to be coming up at a lower single supplement price, maybe 150%, as of yesterday. I've booked an obstructed balcony QTY for a total of around $2,800 (Canadian $ - and includes Diamond discount). This is a lot cheaper than it has been recently, I've been watching the prices for a while! It might not count as a "bargain" but for 16 days in a balcony on the Quantum, it seems pretty good to me! [it has a stop in Jordan for trips to Petra for those that have it on their bucket list.]

The Century Singapore to Dubai (March 22) or the Dubai to Singapore (April 5) have been offered as low as $599 for a single inside, $799 for outside. Air from L.A. round trip is about $1400. An Indian visa is needed.

It's 499 inside now

I think I did it correctly to subscribe to this thread

I did 2 solo cruises on the Dream last year out of New Orleans. Prices this year are very high, as one cruise this year is what I paid for 2 last year.

I am retired, can drive to NOLA or Galveston TX on short notice.

Let me know if you hear of any good solo deals for Carnival. Thanks :)

You might want to look at NCL out of Houston. I've snagged some great solo deals from them. They don't advertise it but on some of the off-season cruises there is no or a reduced solo fee. You have to do a mock booking to find out if there is a solo supplement. NCL is not in Houston during late spring or summer.

This is one for the repo purists....

No solo supplements across all accommodation categories from insides to suites on the ex-Celebrity, now Croisières de France, Zenith on her repositioning from Venezuela to France, 29th March 2016 over two weeks.

English is the third language spoken on board after French and Spanish and this is likely to be a representative demographic. This is only available to book on Pullmantur's Brazilian web site - in Portuguese! You have to work hard for true bargains :). My UK address and passport details was accepted without issue.

The Zenith was refurbished in 2013 and her transfer to CDF by parent Royal Caribbean means there should be a French influence in decor, service, food and drinks.

Go to: http://www.pullmantur.com.br

Click the ‘RESERVAR’ tab

Under ‘Mes’ choose ‘Marco 2016’

Under ‘Navio’ choose ‘Zenith’.

Do not choose any other options as this cruise will not appear.

Select the 14-night itinerary La Guaira-Marseille

Select one person and your age.

On the next page, you can add one of the all-inclusive drinks packages from £15/$22.50 per night.

There are currently 4.54 Brazilian Reals to the pound. The top Junior suite with balcony works out around £800/$1200 including taxes and all-inclusive drinks package for 14 nights, SOLO OCCUPANCY! Lower categories of cabin are not as good value but are cheaper.

There is a link in my signature for the roll call, should you decide to join me.

Just to add that the cheapest inside/outside/balcony cabins on this 14 night repo cruise are £370/£424/£505 ($556/$637/$760) all solo-occupancy, including taxes but without the all-inclusive package. That works out at a very respectable £26.40/£30.30/£36 ($40/$45.50/$54) per night.

Hi Tim, that is a very good deal. I am currently contemplating - even though I am struggling with understanding the website!

Thanks for finding it.

Hi Sandra,

Yes, even with Google Translate, the site is quite a struggle.

My biggest issue was that the site only offered me the option of paying 100% now. I paused at that point. Translating that page, it said I was already booked. Sure enough, I received an email confirming the booking with the (translated) caveat that my booking would be cancelled if I had not paid in full 60 days before departure. I have emailed the Brazilian office, in English, asking how I can pay a deposit.

For the best bargains, nothing is straightforward. One has to try though. I booked two suites, one for me and one for my mother. These have not reappeared on the bookable inventory online so I assume we are truly booked.

This cruise is already interesting. Plus Caracas? I have never even met anyone who has been there, AFAIK.

Have you looked at air fares?

Hi

I have just booked an inside cabin on NCL Pride of America for a 7 day Hawaii trip departing 28th March for $1023 which equates to single supplement of 0%.

I have been tracking this cruise for a couple of months and it seems they ditch the single supplement for inside cabins about 3 weeks before departure.

No other cabins are discounted, just the insides.Hope this helps someone get a good last minute deal round Hawaii.

Regards

I will be using Avios to fly business class on Iberia from Madrid to Caracas. That is around £250 in Tesco vouchers plus around £30 taxes. I have the points but it is two months too early to book the seat. I save points at Tesco just for one-way flights to meet/leave repo cruises.

It will be a cheap low-cost carrier from somewhere in the UK to Madrid and also back from Marseille.

I wonder how that works for NCL best price guarantee?

I paid for a NCL cruise inside and paid about a 50% supplement. Cruise was 429 pp (double occupancy) and final amount was 674 (single occupancy).

Now I know NCL has a best price guarantee which means if the price goes down, you can get the difference refunded to you. However, I wonder if that applies to supplement pricing or the original per person fare?

I check the cruise price everyday to see if it has changed. I'm still 60 days out from my cruise though.
