Nancy2627 Posted October 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2008 I was wondering besides Princess what other ships have Anytime Dining? We do not like the seating schedules like on Carnival Thanks,Nancy
Rare cruisemom42 Posted October 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2008 NCL has Anytime Dining. RCCL and HAL are both introducing/trying out versions of Anytime Dining on some of their ships. I don't know about Celebrity or the more premium lines.
paul929207 Posted October 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2008 NCL has it on all their ships. Princess has it on all but the three small ships - the Pacific, Royal and Tahitian Princesses. These three only have one dining room and it is used for Traditional Dining.

catmand Posted October 15, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 15, 2008 At this time Celebrity has traditional dining (they do have new larger ships on the way and may have less restive choices?) However, Celebrity also has casual dining which is set on an area of the buffet. The table settings are the same as the traditional dining room, and the views from the large windows are spectacular. The menu has a 4 course selection and is very good. We have done this on 3 cruises and it has worked out fine. They are open from 5 to 10 (I think) you go whenever you like and can make a daily reservation.
DAGVBSB Posted October 16, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2008 NCL's is called "Freestyle Dining." You do not have a set dining time, set restaurant or set tablemates. Most of the larger ships have 2 main dining rooms, a buffet and 5-7 "specialty restaurants" (Italian, Mexican, Steakhouse, Asian, etc.) The Specialty restaurants require reservations, the main restaurants do not. Also, there are no "formal nights" on NCL. You can dress in resort casual everynight in every dining venue if you wish. (polo shirts, kahki pants, tennis shoes. No shorts, sandals or t-shirts/tank tops.) They do have a "Dress up or Not" night, but only about 50% of the passengers will dress that night and it will range from tuxes down to shirt/tie.
