firefly333 Posted November 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2008 I dont know about "based on the American Dollar" but most people consider Grand Cayman to be expensive. Jamaica a little less so. Neither is going to be as cheap a Mexico.
careyr24 Posted November 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2008 Cayman is very expensive. DW and I went to Margaritaville and ordered one meal and 2 drinks and the cost after the conversion rate was $60.

bookbabe Posted November 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Any cheaper attractions that you can think of? Seven Mile Beach is free. It's about a $4-6 US taxi ride (per person, each way) from the port area, or you could take a public bus for less. I'd recommend either the Royal Palms or Sea Grape sections since they have some amenities available, such as washrooms, showers, restaurant, chair and watersports rentals, etc. Once you get there, you just pay for what you use...so the cost is entirely under your control.
