I have to complain about Norweigen. Something happened and I didn't like it.

I just completed my 32nd cruise with NCL. I'm getting sick of every Captain sounding lIke Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show calling Mrs. Wiggins. And then on the last night I had to make a visit to the bathroom and my bed wasn't made up when I got back to it. Then somehow they managed to shrink my clothes so they didn't fit the same as when I got on board. I'm going to only give them 15 or 20 more chances to fix these problems.

I had such a good time and laughed so hard I forgot all about the economy and the state of my 401K. I think they should replenish my 401k account to what it was a year ago.:eek::D

I thought of taking my retirement funds out over a year ago---BUT DIDN'T WANT TO PAY A 10% PENALTY. What an idiot I am!!!

I was trying to take a nap after guzzling 5 or 6 glasses of that free champagne they give you when you board. And Captain Speaking kept coming on the loud speaker telling me I had to get out of the room and go up on deck. I had just gotten all cozy in my birth but had to stumble up onto the deck for the mustard drill. And when I came back to my cabin, I found that Stewart had remade the bed....lousy NCL. What a garbage scow.

If dining on NCL is equivalant to dining at McDonald's, then dining on RCCL is equivalant to eating in an animal barn... open the door and the herd stampedes in like animals going to the feed trough. (and some of the overdresseed women on the Explorer in July reminded me of fat cows.....)

Which reminds me of a conversation that my husband heard at the Garden Cafe on the Sky....older husband says to older wife, *I thought we were going to one of the nice restaurants on board and here we are at the pig pen again!*:p

Hubby and I still get a laugh out of that one....you just can't please everyone!

A couple years ago, I got razzed pretty good by one of the NCL IT people on their website during a cruise giveaway contest...and they never gave me anything!!! BOO-HISS!!!!

And in stealing from pengu1n---When are they gonna start sailing from Yakima?

I'm not sure which ships some of these people sail on, but my experience has differed greatly.

My meals have mostly been wonderful and I'm fairly picky about food.

We got off the Dawn about 2 weeks ago and we saw our room stewards 2 or 3 times a day minimum. We new them by name and they knew which room we were in.

I guess it must just be us. We did make it a point to meet them and get to know them.

My cabin steward did not make up my room within 10 seconds of me leaving the cabin. I know this because I forgot something and came back. There were not 4 staff standing outside my door in case I wanted something 24/7.

I had to wait for 2 minutes for a drink from the bar because other people had the nerve to get there before I did and were served first.

I had to wait 7 minutes to disembark at one port because others wanted to get off when I did. They should all have waited until the announcement that I had now left.

I thought service in the dining room was awful. I did not have a waiter at each shoulder fanning me, the chef did not come out and talk to me about my preferences on how I wanted my food cooked, no-one fed it into my mouth for me and I had to peel my own grape. The jester never stopped at my table to entertain me and the Captain refused to perform a sacrifice of 1000 virgins in thanks of me sailing NCL.

Atrocious behaviour from those enslaved to cater to my every whim and fawn over me every second on every day.

LOL.. very good one.

I forgot my all time favorite whine that I saw on the Princess CC

"A fly landed on my sandwich by the pool and completely ruined my cruise"

PLEASE tell me you are making that up.

I asked to share a table with happy people and got two grumpy old farts.

I want a refund!

:)

FUNNY.

Worst vacation I ever had. Rained 6 out of 7 days NCL made not effort to lessen the impact of being stuck inside. They played Barry Manilow over and over on the pa until passengers lost their minds! Nickel and dime you to death. Service awful-workers have no reason to try hard since you have to pay a service fee of 10.00 pp per day. Never again.

If this is a joke it's very funny. If you are being serious I think it is the saddest posting I have ever read on the boards in the years I have been a visitor to CC. From reading some of your other postings though, I think you were being funny. 8-)

No, no I am not. The fly that ruined a Princess cruise is famous , world famous I say! :p:rolleyes:

(It is possible I started a similar thread to this one several years ago on the Princess area on the theme of "over whining", one that may have included an small insect with wings ) :D

The devil made me do it!

very funny!!

It actually was true...

and funny.

We went and found the fun couples we shared with the first night, and teamed up with them the rest of the cruise.

And we all had good stories of sharing tables with those "other folks".:D

But... I still want good coffee on a cruise ship.

My husband lost OUR money in the casino and only HE got free drinks:o

All I got was a discount on my next cruise.;)

When I got home, I couldn't find anything to eat that looked good and nobody would pick up after me; therefore, I got depressed so

NCL owes me:

a maid,

a cook,

and a therapist.

Plus, OBC for my next cruise.

You know, for all the trouble they've caused me.

Okay so here is my gripe with NCL - they actually made me stand in line waiting to get off the ship in port for a long period of time, with four of the grumpiest old coots that I think I have ever encountered. I just know that NCL told those people to come and stand by me just so they could complain about standing in line. (The rest of the group around me considered forming a committee to see if we could have them voted off the ship.)

Also, I don't understand why my room stewards where so determined to see that I had fresh, clean towels and toilet paper all the time. How in the world am I supposed to readjusted to being at home under those conditions.....

Amazing, some people are so fixated on complaining they even missed the intended humor of this thread.

Sad, isn't it? Some are SO eager to jump on the bashing band wagon that they don't even take in the true content of the thread. Just glad I'm not that pessimistic and negative.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease tell me that this is a joke posting, right?? I was taking it serious until I got to the $10 pp service fee complaint and then I knew you had to be joking...EVERY cruise line expects gratuities/tips so to expect not to have tip would be just plain moronic! Good thing you got in on the $10 pp per day cause' it goes up to $12 January 1st.

It is all about attitude.

God forbid if I ever had to serve some of the complainers. They come on board with their head up thei butts and wonder why it stinks all the time because after all, it couldn't be their butt that is causing the stink.

Amen!! I deal with the sick/cranky public every day but at least I can escape at the end of the day whereas those poor cruise staff are stuck with the cranium-up-the-rectum losers 24/7!

It's been said before and I agree 110%: my worst day at sea is ten times better than my best day at work!!!

I would like to complain about the wait staff on the NCL Sky who kept my tea glass full. I felt obligated to drink all of the tea when I finished dinner. In doing so I was up all night going to the bathroom.

Also while cruising on the S.S. Norway. My mother lost her purse. One of the staff on board turned it in to the Pursers desk. After we were able to identify the purse it was returned to my mother with everything intact. Including over 500.00 dollars she had tucked away inside the purse. The staff member was rude because he did not take any money for his trouble.

Then on the NCL Dream the chocolate buffet did not have enough chocolate on it.

Not to forget while cruising on the NCL Spirit. The bingo game was not rigged so I could win a free cruise.

I can't wait to cruise on the NCL Star so I can complain about something on that ship.
