davekathy Posted January 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2009 Has anyone booked a future Princess Cruise while on your current Cruise? If so what are the benefits in doing so? I’ve heard one of the benefits is an OBC Per Person. Is this correct and what is it based on?
paul929207 Posted January 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2009 Yes, you get an OBC for any future cruiseyou book while on a Princess crusie. The amount is from $25 to $150 depending on the length of the cruise & whether you book inside or outside cabin. You can get the same benefits by getting a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) and booking afte your cruise.
Colo Cruiser Posted January 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2009 We have never seen a discount cruise offered while onboard. We just by the future cruise credit for $100 and use it to book when we get home or down the road. This will allow you to have an onboard credit based on what type of cabin you book using this FCC. You will also have to only deposit the $100 (FCC)for the first two in the cabin. :)
mii Posted January 11, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2009 What also might help is go to where the page numbers are and under Search this forum just put in FCC and tons of info is there. Marilyn
Rare Shelly97060 Posted January 11, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2009 We buy the future cruise credit and then decide later where and when we want to travel. The benefits are: lower deposits OBC coupon you can give to friends or family that allow them to book and get the same OBC you get if they travel with you. knowing that you will be cruising again within the next 4 years :D You also can take comfort knowing that you can request the money back if you decide you are not going to go after all. sultan_sfo Posted January 11, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2009 The Future Cruise Consultant can book the cruise either using Princess or "your current travel agent" (she can see the price offered by your agent on her computer). She will tell you both prices. Of course, if you book using Princess as your agent, you can very easily transfer your booking to any agent later. The advantage of booking while on the cruise is that she has the latest cruise itineraries -- some that may take a week to become available to an agent. Also one has better cabin selections. The OBC will be the same -- whether you book on board or just "buy" an open Future Cruise Credit. And yes -- we have booked on-board using Princess for a cruise that we were waiting to open -- we wanted a specific hot demand cabin.
